Happy- 41 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) well i for one would like to see some more diversity on the incoming rifles.here's one i like and one i would love to see ingame.i know theres more weapons incoming "as mentioned by rocket" but would like to see a good diversitythis one can be modded for sniping or close combat fighting and it's a really nice weapon. very versetile and has alot of mods and attachements. anyway adding a vote for this onethink this should be added? i docheckout the review. there's better reviews out there that tells you more about the capabilites of the rifle and how much it can be modded. but decied to link this one. colekern 1364 Posted January 26, 2014 I don't think so. It's a sweet gun, but it's more of an Israeli rifle, so I don't see what it would be doing in DayZ. If were talking about weapons foreign to Chernaurus, wouldn't make a bit more sense to have something from a slightly closer area, like maybe the UK?
Happy- 41 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Weapons crosses borders just like most stuff does. either legally or illegally. i dont see how just cause its an israeli weapon it cant be found here.all kinds of weapons can be found all over the world. why would this be any diffrent.Sure we play in Chernaurus but does that mean we can only play with weapons made locally or in neighbooring countries? that would make even less sense, weapon import and exports is a major buisness for alot of countries and last time i checked the blackmarket for weapons is global.but thats my opinion. Edit: and yes i do think we should have weapons from the uk. i would like to see alot of weapons giving the players a nice broad range to choose from.if you only got 1-2 of each type most people are gonna try and figure out wich is the so called "best" and then you end up with a player base running around with mostly the same gear wich is boring as hell. AP_Norris 1018 Posted January 26, 2014 I like the gun, knew there would be Gews so I went ahead and voted yes.It should either have some backstory or be stupidly rare (enough so it might not be in untill full game is out?)
Geckofrog7 1168 Posted January 26, 2014 A TAR-21, black market or not, legally or not, would almost never end in up in a region like this. Not that it isn't an awesome looking gun, though.
stielhandgranate 480 Posted January 26, 2014 The Ukrainians use them, which is near Cheneraus. BUT, I doubt Bohemia has license to use IWI weapons in their games. Voted no.

Modern post Cold War-era firearms, don't get trafficked as much as the movies and cowadoodies would lead you to believe. You wouldn't find select fire G36s and MP7s in the hands of local thugs in East Europe and most of Europe has more draconian than the United States or Canada, thus preventing most citizens from owning firearms like modern pistols and sporter versions of military rifles like AR-15s. Sure Soviet surplus will find it's way into the hands of crime syndicates and maybe old NATO stock like FN FALs and G3s, but a post Cold War Assault rifle from Israel is too far fetched. thedogfoodyayho 295 Posted January 26, 2014 How many of these rifles have been sold or "Lost" to non-military customers? My guess is very, very few. In addition it makes no sense. The CDF uses Soviet-era weapons and evidently a few M4s. Voted no.

They are quite expensive and subject to significantly less regulations than AR-15s. Not sure what other countries they are selling them in right now, if any.
