Finally after 50 hours....

I meet a group of friendly's, who openly accept me.. Im so excited to finally be part of a team in this game.

 

We make our way to the new city, looting as we go, by the time we get there we have lots of food, all have atleast 1 weapon, good to go.

 

Im standing there looting a car with my new friend's, and BAM. Instantly dead, i hear my new friends panic and run.

 

What a fucking joke. You people who KoS are terrible people, I was so excited and you just burn my fun with your assholeness.

 

Honestly think im done for awhile, its just soooo much fun for these people to ruin others' game experience. Im so sad =(

 

Most friendly player EVER by the way, before I reached that town I gave away an M4, a sawed off shotgun and a FNX5 plus ammo.

 

I think some people that play this game are litterally sadists.

Is it just me, or has the most recent patch brought forth unto this forum a flood of new forum accounts constantly spamming the forum with "my caractuh gots reset", "this game is terrible", "generic bitch thread #55798.0 VERS>7", or "NO KOSing Gais! I demand you play how ""I"" want you to!", and so on?

Been seeing a LOT of that baseball cap wearing grey silhouette avatar image lately. I hate that guy. Makes me want to snipe him every time I see him.

Im simply sharing my experience, I totally understand KoS is part of the game... but trust me its getting old. I just hope with a few more patches this bullshit stops, and people focus on TEAMWORK AND SURVIVAL which should be the main part of the game.

 

Not killing every person you see to get a laugh, Im almost certain Rocket would be on my side, as of many people. The forums are the way they are because people did not buy this alpha to have to restart EVERYDAY they play it.

My charactor did get reset, but in a good way. Last time I played I was killed and lost all my stuff. I didn't have the heart to restart right away so I gave it a couple of days rest. Yesterday I start back up and I have an earlier version of my dead charactor from about a week ago. OK he didn't have the pristine telescopic scope yet but he had more stuff than just starting on the beach AND much of the items he had are now a lot harder to find! So I am a happy camper.

 

I was frightend that I was back to square one when after changing servers I was suddenly on the beach with nothing but that switched back the next time I logged back in after diner. It has now stayed with the old charactor  for 6-7 server jumps so I am fairly confident I will be keeping my inventory now.

Its not the "Death" part that really gets me, just 50 hours when you have a full-time job, a wife and a baby to take care of (Here and there, thats mostly her job right?) is valuable to me, I guess its my own fault for participating in an alpha that I was just too excited to get my hands on. sigh.

That you don't kill people doesn't mean that others are wrong by doing so. Everyone who play this game has payed the same amount of money for it, and therefore everyone is titled to play like they want. There is no wrong way to play, and there is no right way to play. So stop calling people for assholes and sadists for playing a different way then you.

 

You know a lot of people KoS, so then you have to adapt for it. I'm a friendly myself, but i'm not crying when i get shot. This because i know it was my own fault. I was not careful enough. So instead of moaning, i recomend you to learn how to decrees you chances by being shot. Stealthy moves and being able to see others before they see you is an art and a very important part of surviving in a zombie apocalypse if you ask me.

 

And if you meet someone you like, add them as your steam friends. That way you will not loose them forever when you die, and you can play with them later.

When you travel with a large group of people, you become very high profile. Sneaking becomes irrelevant. THAT is why you got shot. Not because some ASSHOLE saw you and personally wanted to FUCK your day in the ass by killing you and ruining your fun.

You died because another player finds killing other players fun, and YOU made it easy for him (one reason why I lone wolf it).

And when you come to the forum to bitch about it, you WILL get trolled. Not because we don't take you seriously. There IS too much KOSing right now, since there isn't a lot to do endgame wise. But that will change. And we all have seen WAY TOO MANY kos complaint threads. So what winds up happening to you is that instead of explaining our positions to you and engaging in constructive debate and saying the SAME thing we have said already in 20 other threads, we have a laugh at your expense.

And I have never played Arma or the Dayz mod, I clearly did not know what this game was all about before getting into it.

 

I also bought Rust around the same time thinking that game was like a crazy minecraft zombie survival game.

 

Was wrong also, Rust is pure Call of Duty madness... im pretty well done with it.

 

Im just praying this games future updates somewhat appeal to what I was looking to get into.. (Is that fair?)

Well if you are dying so often, you are obviously doing something wrong.

stay out of cities. If that's boring then expect to die.

You can go into cities and survive you just need to be experienced within them, that means,

 

keep 360o awareness as often as you can

notice that when zombies are chasing something that ISN'T you it is another player

don't charge people on the off chance you might win, play it strategically and catch them off guard

don't look at any certain pile of loot too long

if there is a fully geared body in the middle of the road let it be if you sit down to loot it chances are you are going to get shot

stay hidden and wait for opportune moments to attack other players

 

do these things and it will drastically help with your odds of survival in cities (the last 4 or 5 kills i have gotten have been with an axe usually vs people with guns, play it smart and it really isn't that hard)

 

edit:

 

you wanna know why people KOS in big cities? because in big cities it is almost entirely kill or be killed, don't go looking for friends in big cities because chances are you are going to die

Oh ive been pretty much everywhere on the map dude, There is only so many "Spots" where you can get "End Game" gear.... The only way to get it is take a risk or

server hop which im sure 90% of the games population do, otherwise I dont see how so many people Ive been killed by are wearing the gear they are and have the

weapons they are using. Personally I Refuse to server hop, tis not part of the game and something should be done about it

But yes when I do actually play DayZSA again I will be lonewolfing it, I just find that so pathetic that it comes down to that, A huge multiplayer survival openworld game, and you have to play by yourself. (Atleast if you want to better your odds of surviving)

see clan recruitment thread. also a lot of people who have good loot also don't server hop, some do but a lot of people will play characters for 2 or 3 days and eventually just get all of that gear, I was able to get a shotgun, military clothing and a mountain backpack within an hour of spawning in Elektro

Man, many other people (me included) have wife, little kid and job :-). Anyway if you meet such friendly dudes, TAKE THEIR STEAM ACCOUNT and befriend them on steam. This way if any of you get killed, you can meet in next life. This game is steam only, so they will have steam account.

 

Plus lets take in account, that the risc of dying make game more exciting. Imagine their adrenaline and horror seeing you dropping dead to the ground, franticly taking cover and looking for the shooter. Without such moments, the DayZ would be half the adrenaline ride it is.

The mod was no different, so I don't see how anyone could be surprised by this.  If you haven't played the mod, then you might as well just accept now that the game is that experience.  You are meant to scan around and make sure it is safe and not run through open fields.  Even the best of players fall prey to these things from time to time and that is just how it is.  With the threat of losing time spent, the point of this game will always be survival.  If a person with a fire axe can sneak up on me at any point and happens to be in the same area as me, you better believe I will take him out first if I am able. 

 

This isn't the type of game where you can just apply an honor code to everything; you can't just shout at them and ask them to kindly get in position for a fire fight, that kind of defeats the whole atmosphere of the game.

Well thats the thing, getting shot at and hiding was SUCH an adrenaline rush the first 5 times.... actually before I go on, after reading some comments and posts I believe people are just bored of the game already and the only entertainment IS killing people. Unfortunately there is alot of people whom I feel havnt reached that point either
