If they want to lock gamma, which is possible (yes even overriding nv cpl settings, has been done before) then I would be 100% ok with it. Fact is night is not realistic right now, never has been in Arma since there is no simulation of eye adaptation over time.As it is now, gamma is adjustable, just like other graphics settings are. Saying it is an exploit is about the same as saying since i have a high end surround sound system I am cheating because I have enhanced sound compared to most people. Therefore, not an exploit. You don't like it don't use it.Ok you know those settings are in the game to allow you to set it right for your screen yes ( i will assume you agree thus far lol ). Now do you think the devs having this intended you to have one gama setting for day and one for night??? Your crazy if you answer yes if that was the case they would not have bothered making the night time darker it would be just a gray day time as it is when you use gama exploiting. Exploiting includes the use of in game mechanics to gain advantage in a way not intended by its creators strange every video i see of the devs playing they dont seem to be turning there gama up hence its being in a non intended way makes it an EXPLOIT. Personally i am not fused if you use it or not doesnt bother me to much but what does bother me is when you flat out lie to yourself oh its not an exploit it is the very definition of an exploit deal with it live and move on ... You don't like it don't use it. So you don't consider peaking through walls in 3d person an exploit either? 'Tis in the game, after all. You can rationalise everything that way. You can say using cheats is fine, because hey, others can do it. Like SoulFirez said, i don't think the devs intention was to let people do this.
