SKS in game or just the description....

In the change log it mentions "- SKS rifle description added " Is the SKS in the game as a useable weapon or was only the tooltip added to the game.

 

If the SKS is in the game then im all like.... ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

 

if only the tooltip was added for a currently non-existing item then im all like... ಠ_ಠ

In all seriousness, I think there would have been an SKS on the forum now, even if it is rare. I guess it's not in game yet, or maybe there's some problem with it spawning.

But when I do get my hands on one, I will be all like; :D

Let's not forget that there were plenty of guns "implemented" in early beta's. AK's, DMR's, I believe i saw early pictures with a survivor running around with an AS50. SKS could be a new implementation, but why should he?

He already has the mosin, people snipe to much in this game :/

"well, the SKS is ready too. so u can keep ur M4 :P"

So I think, its not in the game now but will find its way into in with the next patch!

SKS is the russian counterpart of the DMR. Although less accurate and with a reduced effective range of fire. But put a scope on it and you're good to go.

I would still like to know if this is in game or not. It could be just as rare as the reporters vest atm. So who knows really. The only one that would be able to confirm it is developers at this point or some lucky guy. Been hunting for it myself.

Stop spreading this BF4 non-sense that the SKS is a DMR. It's a peasant gun that has an internal 10 round box magazine instead of a detachable one that uses the same cartridge as the AK-47. It was never designed with any sort of DMR role in mind.
