Not Enough Food

Dying of starvation is annoying and I cant seem to find any food anywhere, searched 5 towns in the dark, nothing. Ive heard of others finding the same thing. Whats up with this? anyone else concur. ALSO in the dark it sucks looking for shit.

Its cause none of the servers are resetting.  If I understand correctly, they are waiting for the day/night cycle to get back to day before resetting them again.

Go inland, or go west (face inland and go left) because all the eastern/southeastern towns are looted. Try going to Cherno or Chapaevsk

Get off the coast. The coastal towns will have been looted already, once you get a couple of towns away from the the coast you'll have more food than you know what to do with.

no no, i searched inland towns, Dolina, Orlovets, Polana, Sharkovka, Solnichiny. and Staroye... Nothing.. finaly ran up to Nizhnoye and found a single can of tuna, then ran to Berezino and found nothing. thats where I died. me and 5 others were looking for food and sharing what we could find to make it. we all died eventually and around the same time. My point being, there just isnt enough food on the map, or loot isnt respawning fast enough. plus is it was pitch black the whole time which made it more difficult.

I've never seen anyone around any of those cities except Berezino. You either were extremely unlucky (unlikely) or you didn't visit the towns/didn't look hard enough (likely).

 

Either way, you should have kept going west; the coastal cities, especially Elektro and Berezino are almost always empty.

I have actually had the opposite problem and found food too easy to find. You just have to look in the right areas, most houses are crap, the bigger houses are usually good. Also supermarkets and places like Berezino are usually good spots for me. It could also be you are on a crowded server that's been up for a while.

No offense, but I strongly dislike answers that are basically "I've never experienced this so it means it doesn't happen".

Because of the update and servers not resetting, shit is getting looted to the point where nothing is around anywhere at times. Earlier was near 4 towns North West from Kamyshovo and they'd all been picked clean and then I died from hunger. I like scrounging to survive and yes, it does get boring and you lose tension when you're stocked with enough food to live forever, but we're simply trying to give feedback to find some balance. It's not fun to make food so rare that you're always staving off hunger while trying to also manage 30 other tasks.

Christ, I found enough food in the Sobors for about 20 people to live for 3 hours of game time.  

 

In other news, did they increase the size of the stomach?  I ate piles of food and was at healthy, energized, and hydrated in full green for quite a while and was still able to gobble up heaps of food.  It was only after drinking at the fountain about 10 times that I was finally stuffed.

Flashlights and lamps are a must at night! Had a backpack full of gas canisters at one point. :) Than I got shot!. :)
