Militant, I guess. I prefer playing with my friends and our main focus is looting, if we run in to other players our response really depends on the circumstances.

 

If I'm playing alone, which is a very small proportion of my time, then I'm very much a scavenger. I focus on gearing up for when I'm with my friends and I avoid firefights.

 If I don't have a gun I generally run around acting a clown.

 I hardly ever snipe I like to get up close and personal and make sure to trade insults and threating abuse over direct first! makes the kill that little bit sweeter, makes the meat full of adrenaline when they know its coming

My play style isnt there lol.

I play "Sneaky Bush Lurker".

Can sit in a bush for hours just watching people and eating and drinking, i move SUPER slow all the time, sneak everywhere, heck it took me almost an hour to go through Vybor yesterday lol.
I never engange people i meet, i might talk to them, but only if im in a "safe" place.
I only play 1st, have never used 3rd in any of the Arma games either, hate it hehe.

The only time i EVER run, is when im being followed/hunted, btw thats my IRL philosophy aswell rofl.
So if you see someone walking around Chernarus, its most likely me lol.

This has kept my char alive since the beginning, have not died one single time yet, only got a new spawn, because of the DB wipes and such :)

I've not voted because I'm a mix of two. I'd class myself as a Lone Wolf Hero. I spend the majority of my time on my own out in the wilderness, moving as quietly and carefully as the situation requires. The 'Hero' part is because I detest unwarrented newspawn killing, especially at range with a scoped Mosin, so I'll immediately kill anyone that I find doing it. Similarly, my experience of anyone in full milgear and a gas/clown mask has been a bad one, especially at spawn areas, so they get popped on sight too. I'll also help newspawns where I can.

In fact, I died yesterday whilst doing it. I had headed up to the hill overlooking Electro to check for snipers and then the game crashed out. When I logged back in (possibly into another server, I forget), I heard someone behind me and turned around to find someone in milgear and a gas mask stood about 15m away, just looking at me. There was an awkward moment where we both stood and stared at each other for a few seconds before I raised my Mosin and landed a shot clean to their centre mass. It didn't kill them and they then managed to avoid my subsequent (and somewhat panicked) shots and gun me down with an M4. Annoyingly, my Mosin had a pristine long range scope and worn bipod (that I had previously liberated from another bandit), about 60rnds of 7.62 in an ammo box (along with a similar amount of 5.56 and .45ACP) and my backpack had two medkits and four canteens in, so they probably patched themselves up and used the Mosin to snipe anyway. I cursed.

Hero Scavenger is the most close, but not really. I do my own thing and if I happen to cross others way, we'll see... so far so good, good trades and life saving situations. Other than that just the scared soul scarred spawn that runs away without trying to communicate... such is fear of death already instilled into a new spawn mind...

I would have personally added Militant Hero to that list, as I've seen quite a few in squads actively hunting bandits and helping noobs. Like some sort of merry roving band of robin hoods.

Psychopathic bandit. I'll force someone to remove their clothes (but leave them with their bag) and leave the area. Or hold someone up and ask them to drop their food, if they say they don't have any, handcuff them and if they lied, disinfect their mouth.

I am a 'Lone Wolf - I'm not a bandit and gather my own resources. Not a murderer but will kill in a heartbeat. In it for myself.' I leave players alone to survive strictly unless I observe that they are a danger to myself, in-which case I kill them immediately.

A mix of "hero" and "Lone Wolf", also dont like the term "hero".  Had a few good meetings with others to exchange ammo (got 5.56, gave 7.62) and other stuff but thats more the exception.

 

If somebody doesn`t reply in chat, even after several tries, it`s extremely suspicious for me and it may happen that i decide to kill that guy for my own safety reasons. If there are more than one, i`m mostly retreating and hiding somewhere and maybe stalk them a little bit by watching their behaviour. If they`re bandits (and no chatting is a good indication) , it could happen that i try to involve them in a close to medium range combat. (As most got a mosin, i got an M4) or simply taking to my heels/leaving area.
