mirth 23 Posted January 19, 2014 Guba is such a great place to visit, its quite quiet, serene, and you're bound to find some worthwhile equipment or ifanything just fill up on supplies such as food or drinkables. I really enjoy visiting the small town after each death as acquiring gear is quite difficult if you want to get it aroundthe coast or in one of the major cities. I've found plenty of mosins, pythons, backpacks, and clothing while on my ever so often visits. It almost feels like a safe zone though I wouldn't put my money where my mouth is. I really recommend it to all trying to find some much needed supplies. Also I wouldn't doubt it after this post it becomes a hideout for murderers or fanny bandits :P What do you guys think, whats your favorite town/city to hit up after respawning? mirth 23 Posted January 19, 2014 When it isn't being insanely buggy and glitchy and it's not hurling me 50 meters into the ocean, I love stopping by RifyThat is another one of my favorite places to head towards at first, though its somewhat more dangerous as lots of playerssearch the ship as well still, other than just being a decent loot location its just soo beautiful, there's just something magicalabout a broken down rusted ship. Nebulae3 422 Posted January 19, 2014 Food in DayZ is not realistic - u can go many days irl. without any issues, but u will be hungry, but not lethal like in dayZ.
frosti 2165 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Food in DayZ is not realistic - u can go many days irl. without any issues, but u will be hungry, but not lethal like in dayZ. Can you sprint throught 10 km, with 10kg backpack irl? Can you bandage wound from gun shot with a rag and then sprint 10km irl? Many things in DayZ is not realisitc becouse its game and need to have gameplay. Edited January 19, 2014 by Frosti
Problematic 71 Posted January 19, 2014 Bad news for all you Guba lovers - the name Guba is actually the name of the bay close to the few buildings that will (probably) become Svetloyarsk in the next patch. I personally was really suprised by Dolina yesterday, been walking around in Chernarus since the days we were still waiting for vehicles in the mod (granted, have stopped playing for a while until alpha) and never quite got to seeing that place, always ended up going via Staroye in that area. Anyway, I really liked the quaint small town on the top of the hill with great views. Thinking about settling down there and maybe grow some crops on the surrounding open fields, protecting what I've got by shooting Bambi's running up the hill from Solnichny.
