Right so i spawned in Berezino ran all the way to the NWAF and saw no one along the whole way i camped NWAF for a bit gearing up and still i only saw one guy who i shot at then he combat logged I then thought that i would head to Balota as that was a hotspot for PvP before the spawn changes and no one again on a 30+ pop server where is everybody at?

Because of the current spawn system if you are looking for action go to Elektro. Theres always people there in full servers.

People go to closest military area there is from spawn. And this is no longer Balota.

 

Hot zones are now NEAF, Berezino and this military base near Veresnik.

Elektrozavodsk is the hot spot now... You spawn, sprint for 2 minutes and you're already there.

Last time I went there to gather some food for a long way to Gorka I had to kill 7 people who tried to shoot me, and I found other 2 who were friendly. 9 people is a lot, I'm sure you'll find the same amount or more there. P.S.: 6 of the 9 people were around the church, so the hotspot of Elektro is there...

Chernarus is about 250km2 and a server with 30 players works out at a player density of 0.12/sqkm (this increases to 0.16 for a 40 player server). Put simply, the chances of bumping into someone in the wilderness are quite slim.

Of course, the chances increase significantly in villages and spawn hotspots simply because people gravitate to those areas for the loot. Not seeing anyone in a specific area just means that, for whatever reason, they're congregated elsewhere on the map.

When I was camping this residental building in Berezino that has chance to spawn m4 in the room on the last floor there was server hopper logging in every 10-15 minutes.

Try Elektro, Berezino, and NEAF.. People who don't go to Elektro go to Berezino/NEAF.

 

Mostly you will find server hoppers at NWAF and Balota. These are the guys who will combat log as soon as they hear shots fired.

People who come to high pop servers are there for PVP most of the time so be careful, you won't find many regulars there as i go to high pop servers myself for PVP. Everyone is busying hiding, sniping all over the place.

If you want to find people go to low-med pop servers.

There was was a big ban wave. Most esp and aimbot snipertrolls are gone. If you check cheats forums, hundreds got banned. I was running in balota all day in 40 people server and I wasnt sniped out of nowhere. Went on the sniper hill near Balota where you can see airstrip and new apartment area, there was no one there. Hopped few high pop servers, still no snipers. 2 days ago there was always atleast one on every server.
