Incremental stances

Recommended Posts

Please SA dec team i know you have used some assets from arma 3 please for the love of making this game great add arma3 incremental stances.

That extra height you can get usefull or that slower lower stance can save your life allow to hide better etc.

Its just a far better system than the plain stand crouch prone if your not goinjg to already please consider it.

I doubt any one who has played arma3 or understands what i mean could be against such being implemented into SA.

PS if i am wrong please state here why not forum goers....

Pretty sure I read somewhere it's not really possible unless they re-make the animations since DayZ Standalone uses diferent 'skeletons' on the models than in Arma 3.

Yeah, I don't think it's possible.

DayZ retail was a lot more similar to ArmA 3 in the early dev builds, it used W + S to toggle walking/running etc. and you could really tell that a lot had been ported in from A3. I think if this was possible then it would have already been done unfortunately.

If it is possible however then I'm all for it.

Yeah if they need to re do animations (different skeleton they do ) its strangely not that hard to do animations ( not easy lol but not hard for a developer)

I am a pure amature i have been modding since about 2005 started in total war games making models textures and eventually went to making animations ( crude not to a pro level mind you ) but it honestly didnt take all that long to do animations harder to code in those animations assigned to the model ( yeah i know part of same job just the part i found hardest again cause i am an amature)

This would be a very small barrier to a dev team even a small dev team who have a year long alpha planned....

Ah well ill just cross my fingers and hope ( something that has never helped me before with BIS games lol i always end up adding my own scripts to simulate best i can things i wished they had put in like weapon resting lol)

You can still set W+S to toggle walking/running.

I actually find it very awkward, I much prefer using shift, it was just an example of something else inherited from A3.
