This is a poll to see what resources people use around here

I've included the four main ones, there may be others - If you use another one just write it in the comment and I'll include it next time i do this poll if lots of people use it

The sites included now are:

Gamepedia - Previously known as dayzwiki.com, has been around for a while and has info for both SA and the mod

OrcZ - Has info solely on the Standalone, a lot of details even on the smaller things

Wikia - Wikia is a popular wiki platform for games

DayZDB - Has a very good map that lots of people use

Anyway you can vote for more than one

I used DayZDB at first just so I knew where towns were in relation to each other and learned a few letters of the cyrillic alphabet so I could read the signs. Now I don't use anything outside of the game.

None. Best experience is if you don't use guides.

ok added a "None" option

If you vote for "None" please dont vote for any of the others as it would skew the results :)

I'd be shocked if people didn't use "DayZDB".

some people want to explore the map by themselves

I don't even bother looting the map fragments when I can just use dayzdb on the steam overlay.

Dayzwiki is also quite a useful site.

I hate to say it, but I do use DayZDB. I don't use it for the loot spots, only to find my way around.

I really only use them when something doesn't go right. Then I'll look it and find that it hasn't been implemented, or that it's bugged.

I had found a bayonet and had slapped it on my mosin. I was hitting every button on my keyboard to see if I could use it for melee. Naturally, I couldn't do it. So I looked it up and found that bayonets are only a cosmetic change right now.

I have iZurvive on my tablet. Lets me and my friends plot points, plus I don't have to have other windows open.

I mostly check out OrcZ and Gamepedia for the wikis, and I use the DayZDB for the map when I am lost

I used DayZdb to get a little bit of Cyrillic to know what town I'm in.

I also used it to check out the Cernes abbas giant and all the pretty knew town spots in the north.

I played the Mod and got familiar with all the towns and landmarks. I just got the SA a few days ago and I love that Balota and a lot of other areas by the coast have new buildings, landmarks, etc. that I've never seen. Makes the game feel fresh and new. I haven't even explored up North yet. I don't plan on using any of the above resources until the game has been developed further.

I use DayZDB for connecting with others (finding names/what general direction we need to go in to meet). My regular buddies and I know the general map now, so we don't use it that often. If I'm playing solo I just pick a direction and walk that way.
