Suicide spawns.

How about if the game detects you dying from fall damage in a spawn zone, your next spawn point will be 500 to 1000 meters from the coast line, as in, in the water. Don't like running to Elektro? Now you get to swim to Elektro instead.

Might also work as an incentive for ingenious bandits, who can prowl the coastline and force new spawns to jump off tall structures.

How about you just spawn back to the same place you started? I know that will not go down well ;)

I think thats not a bad idea, but perhaps a timer would need to be implemented, e.g If i'm getting chased upon spawn by a random axe player/zombie and I climb a lightouse to hide and then he comes up and traps me for 10 mins?

 

I for one, would try to survive the fall as opposed to die at the hands of another.

While I see the point in simply allowing suiciders(lack of better word) spawn at the same location, you're also allowing them to know exactly where they spawn again, which can also somewhat be exploited for revenge killings. I also know that suiciders, will probably just end up lining up in front of the overworked zombies, I just really really want to see a punishment for people, who intentionally kill themselves in a survival oriented game.

Read the thread I linked. Unless a player survives for a period of time or dies to hostile player activity, they shouldn't get a new spawn point.

 

This takes care of suicide by falling and suicide by zombie, while preventing player-oriented exploits like revenge killing or spawn-camping.

Fair point dude and to be honest I didn't think about the multi kill problem, I just want this game to be harsh and there be no benefits to suicide.
