bugs everywhere yay!

the vitamins thing is weird, yes. hopefully they'll change it to you "drinking" it since taking a pill out with gloves on would be weird as well. and currently as far as i know they dont do jack shit. but i would assume they would help you not get sick very fast.

antibiotics are just like the alcohol tincture right now, BUGGED. you get sick by using them, but since you used them they're healing your sickness. which you got from using it in the first place.. yeah..

just don't use them unless it tell you you're sick. but if you have don't worry it will slowly heal you and eventually you won't be sick anymore.

What are you talking about, I thought that's how everyone took vitamins?

I wrap vitamins around my arm all the time. I don't know where the problem is. I even asked my doctor (who is also a crack dealer and visionary), and he told me that this is how it works. Strange people, talking about eating vitamins and things.. Yeah, and somewhen you guys are going to tell me that it's wrong to eat chips through my butt. No thanks, I'm normal.

It's early alpha so I dare say when they start adding the rag dolls they will inprove these small details. I would like to see the backpack been opened when you look inside of it just so when you see someone you know they are going through their backpack, and wind were you can pick up grass to test the wind direction

Would be cool if you could take off your backpack and look in it like TLOU.

Massive amount of wrong info in this thread.

The antibiotics don't make you sick, the status is wrong. When you see the status "Sick", you're healing blood. I'll explain.

When a zombie hits you, you lose blood and get wounded. You can bandage the wound, but those wounds wont heal because they're classed as "dirty". You have to disinfect them, or take antibiotics, for the wounds to close fully. You'll see statuses like "my wounds look cleaner". Once the wounds are closed, you have full blood again.  Magic.

Now this doesn't mean you have full health, just full blood. You need to eat and drink fully before you can start healing your health.

Both of these issues have already been fixed and will be pushed in our next patch.

But.

Antibiotics usually MAKE you sick.

That's why you take milk enzymes with them. At least, if I don't take them, I need to camp my bathroom, I get kinda nauseous and my stomach feels very weird and wrong.

And I literally just stopped taking antibiotics for my otitis.

It has been locked only because people started with the "give patch (ghost)" bitching ;)

Oh well, and also because people used to insult eachother in there!

You must have a lot planned for your next patch considering how much other bigger stuff needs addressing.

I am really looking forward to it.

You wrap them around your arm to make sure they touch the zawmbee wounds you have.

But, hey. At least you don't inject your thumb into your arm, like you do with syringes.

Don't really know what to make of that, to be honest. A bit of overshare/TMI, buddy.

The point of antibiotics is to help cure what ails you, not make you sicker. If they're having that effect on you IRL, go revisit your doc.

FFS, I just fell off of a ladder for the squillienth time today in fully armed gear, which I'm not majorly worried about, I've gotten over it - the point being that there are larger and more urgent things to be considered rather that wrapping vitamins around my arm - which in any case I do in real life anyway.

This is true to a point. Antibiotics are divided into two groups: narrow-spectrum and broad spectrum. Narrow-spectrum attack a certain group of bacteria, but aren't used very commonly. Broad spectrum attack all types of bacteria, and are used the most commonly. The reason broad spectrum antibiotics actually make you more sick is because it attacks the 'good' bacteria that is prevalent in your body. However, this level of detail in Dayz would be a bit unnecessary and confusing to most people.
