Recommended Posts

As the topic says, the ability to rotate the items in your inventory so us anal retentive looters can organize our lives as survivors more efficiently.

anal retentive looting only leads to anal retentive dying, and pissing off teammates as they wait for you to finish dicking around with your gear. It sounds complex to the point of pointlessness, you have a certain amount of space to carry things, and while i know you can organize things in your bag to economize space, i don't understand how rotating would work with the square system we have now?

I support the idea. I have found myself wishing for this more than once while playing.

I thought about this idea a while back and saw why its not wise. Having only one direction of items restricts what can go into clothes. I notice this when i was testing the game without using a backpack. I could not put a wrench into my tactical jacket as i could not rotate it. This seems reasonable as its simulates compartments within the jacket. Cant remember off the top of my head, but i think if you could rotate a slitting axe, it would fit in a tactical jacket.

Computationally expensive and would also unnecessarily complicate the dBase that saves your inventory. No. Just learn to play backpack tetris with the shapes you're given.
