XGnostic 0 Posted January 14, 2014 Somewhat new here.... I went on an adventure and now I am lost. I believe I am in the northwestern area of the map, the town/village I am in has 3 long farm buildings, 2 metal buildings with the room upstairs, 1 big red building with a cat walk at the top, and a bunch of storage units.... Nothing else, no house, churches, pubs, etc...... Anyone able to help me figure out where I am on the map I can seem to find it. Thanks! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks! 1. google "map of dayz"2. run to the outskirts of town where the road signs are3. cross reference the sign name with the map name4. map sure the map you are using has russian and english on it for the town names5. run back in a crazy fashion, excited you didn't get shot. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Berserker07 45 Posted January 15, 2014 Roads are usually my fastest way to locate myself (intersections more specifically). The map shows every little curve in a road as well so it's fairly easy to figure out if you are tracking the right location. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

muddyraccoon 176 Posted January 15, 2014 Actually I know where you are since I got lost there when I tried to find NWAF using the stars as navigation. It didn't really work and I ended up by a watertower. Then I saw the barns in the distance, a large dirt pit off a different direction, and the most flat land Chenarus has to offer. If you go North of that any more, there will be no road signs or towns, but lots of intersections and areas where it looks like the foundations of buildings, but no buildings. Sinphaltimus 262 Posted January 15, 2014 Basic way to find yourself. Punch run South East until you hit a coast or major road. Find south east by movement of clouds if you don't have compass. Once you hit a major road, follow it south easterly until it brings you to a town with a sign. You should hit a road before you hit any cost but in case you are off map, follow coast east or south until you find civilization. Which ever way the coast seems to be oriented. If this is the case, you are west of the airfield.. just keep running east for about a kilometer and you should reach the northern end of a large airfield.
