Run faster with your fists out.

I was playing last night and this one guy could sprint a lot faster than me. I asked him how he did it and he said to put my fists up and then run. It's a pretty significant difference! Hope this helps some people out.

Fists raised and double tap forward = Sprinting

 

Fists lowered and double tap forward = Running

 

 

And as far as energy consumption, they're all the same.  Standing still is standing still, moving is moving.  So unless you're trying to be sneaky, you should always be sprinting.

A lot of people are saying that they are constantly desyncing when running with fists out.

 

I have desynched a couple of times (Teleport way back from where i came) and it has only happened when sprinting with fists out.

​I run / sprint normally and i always out run my brother even if we are crouched moving..i always end up way ahead of him its kinda annoying because he loses sight of me and when he catches up to me i usually see his character just keep running instead of it stopping next to me is this down to desync too? or something else? his ping is usually better than mine also.

Interesting.  I was desyncing a lot lately, but I assumed it was just alpha bugs.

But now that you mention it, I don't remember desyncing when just running....  weird.  I'll have to test the theory tonight.

Well, as the others said, running with fists up can cause desync to the point that you get teleported way back and you're unable to use any keys.

Luls, me and my buddys were standing straight up then bending down 90deg and doing the hands up sprinting. You look like Sonic the Hedge hog.

 

Some great luls when you have 4 or more friends doing that racing through the tree's. It's some Endor shit.

 

We never experianced any desync at all on a 30 man server.

If your in the same house one PC will get more bandwidth than another. Especially if your just using a plug and play router/modem.

 

Your bandwidth affects how fast you are in game. Dayz and a few other games make that very noticable like BF3-BF4 etc.

I never run with my fists up and I never desync hardcore to where I actually teleport back to where I spawned in.  I've seen complaints of this and streamers affected by this; all of them are double tapping W with their fists raised.

Well as I said before when we check the ping in game by pressing"P" his is always lower than mine, So Idk,thanks again.
