Detailed and awesome crafting

OK so through other posts on forums there are complaints about how everyone will look the same and there is a suggestions post about useless items

 

What if in DayZ standalone there was a fun crafting idea which means you can craft these "useless items" like pizza cutters or deodorant into new things

 

this could include a 

 

Deo-bomb

 

Deodrant with gunpowder would make a deo-bomb and once this is activated it will blow up and deodorant can go in player or zombies eyes

 

Zombies would go mad and not be able to see while the players affected, there screens would go grey or white for a few seconds.

 

This could mean a way to escape or a way to take out targets.

 

Drill gun

 

Electric drill + wire (ammo = drill bits)

 

This put together could create a gun effect where the wire pulls inside the drill and launches the drill bit like a bullet, it wouldn't do as much damage but is a good way to make up for a gun if you don't have one and are cornered by players or zombies.

 

 

So what do u think? good idea or terrible?

Working off your deodorant idea,

 

How about you could use a lighter and Deodorant can to make a flamethrower, the risk being that prolonged sue results in an explosion in your hand

Don't understand how the drill gun would work in real life. Surely a more realistic thing would be a nail gun or something? But yeah I think home made weapons etc should be added for sure!

To treat burns you have to use a bottle of water and a bandage

Deo bomb:

need several tries to start it, same range as pipe wrench, 40% chance to deal damage, 3% chance to burn parts of body and create a wound, 0,5% chance to set on fire for a short time

30% risk of burning your hand when use, 15% risk of exploding in your hands when use, 90% risk of exploding when shot at the can

when exploding in your hands: 100% wounds in face, 65% get blind, 20% die

 

+when using too often view gets blurry

Deo Bomb already is set to be used in some form in Standalone, in one of the stream videos, Rocket showed the creation of an improvised grenade using a can of pesticide spray tied to a flare.

 

An aerosol Flamethrower would be sweet but the chance of the can exploding would be very low, if anything you'd have a higher chance of burning your hand than you would having the can explode.

 

Also an idea for a potential home-made firearm:

 

Zip Gun

Metal Pipe + Scrap Metal + Shotgun Shell

 

With a enough work a person can construct a very simple, yet deadly improvised shotgun sometimes coined as a "Zip Gun" which fires a single shotgun shell, with no sights and limited range, your limited to using it at close range only.
