My first (enemy) player interaction

So I was in Solnichniy on a half full server, and I went into an industrial building, and climbed up the stairs and went into the little room. I walk out of the room, and see a guy downstairs with a shovel. (I only have a pipe wrench). I try to hide in the room, but he inevitably walks in, notices me, and swings for the head. I'm immediately knocked out from shock, but after a few seconds of the unconscious screen, I wake up (kinda). My body is glitched so I can see around and go into my inventory, but I cannot move. (I am new to DayZ so I don't know if this is normal). The guy thinks he has killed me, as he tries to hit me a few more times (and seemingly does) but I am still not dead. He cannot loot me though, so he walks away. As he is walking to the lower level, I decide to try to talk to him.

 

Me: "Hey dude"

Him: (immediately prones) "Where are you?!"

(at this point I realize he thinks I am dead, and that he thinks a different person is talking to him)

Me: "I have a gun pointed at your head, stand still, face the wall, and drop your shovel, or I will shoot."

 

He promptly logs out, obviously scared shitless, and I laugh quite a lot. I guess that shows how some people deal with Combat. 

 

This was probably the most fun I had in DayZ so far which I guess is pretty sad, but I can't wait to play more of the game.

 

(I was able to get out of my glitched (or non-glitched) position by switching servers, before heading to NEAF and dying to a server hopper. Yay!)

Exactly what I'd have done too. There's a certain satisfaction in scaring someone so bad that they combat log.

Such a difference when going out with a group. If we come across ppl they run or comply very easy. Still we want ppl to communicate. No mic means almost certain death. Why some ppl still don't have a mic puzzles me...

Poor.

Not allowed (People under 18, but wont go into that).

Mute (i know, pushing for ideas here lol)

Earlier today I messed up my keybinding for my fire-axe (fell off the hotbar), I had a zombie chasing me so I ran to a group of players laying prone on the ground asking if they could take the zombie out for me and i'd give them some food.

 

Instead of helping me, the punch me when i'm down and knock me out.

 

When I regained consciousness they tried to do it again, I gave him a bit of a warning around the lines of dude are you brain damaged or something? why'd you hit me, he still kept comming at me, so I took my fire axe out, swung it at his head, and then at his made who then pulled his axe out.

 

The first guy got a lucky punch into me, made me go unconscious again, he must have thought he killed me because they buggered off down the road, little does he know, I survived that attack, got all my health back, and am doing great now, but i'll be buggered if i ask anyone for help again.

 

Some people are just douch's, I hate playing on the Australian servers because most of the players there are like happy-KOS-nutters. Sadly due to ping i'm kinda forced into it.

Combat logging should be 30 second animation of your character not being able to handle it anymore and going fetal.

I have only come across 3 players in a few horus of playing. One had just spawned and punched me to death. Another was stood in his underpants with two versions of himself dead in the road. I tried to speak but he didnt move or respond. Then another dude who was sprinting up the road towards me. I put my hands in the air, he saluted back then sprinted off.... it was nice.

 

Encountered about 7/8 zombies and just managed to kill one for the first time!!! WOOOOO HHOOOOOO axed it into oblivion.

 

I am using my internal mic (or at least i think i am!)

 

I have no way of telling if people can hear me or not!
