I was curious to see how long people have been alive for. Don't count deaths by bugs or if your character gets wiped. Also if you want to write your longest life and what you mainly did whether you shot half of elektro or if you lived in the woods like a pecker, that'd be interesting to see which play style was the best for surviving.

My longest life was 26 hours and I killed 10 people but probably met over 40, I died by my friend claiming that he was shooting at a zombie. I wasn't a bandit, i only shot a couple unarmed people after they tried punching me but other than that everyone had a gun. I also spent the majority of my time up north and only came down south if I was to escort a friend safely from one place to the other.

You can survive for a ridiculous amount of hours if you head inland and know where to go. I bet if you are careful enough you can even get away with never dieing to another player. First life, got held up by 2 bandits who I tried to run away from but died, lasted like 2 hours. My second life was the longest, over 20 hours fully geared and glitched through 3rd floor hospital and fell to my death. Approaching the 20th hour of survival on my current life.

Since the mod, my favorite place to stay around was stary sober. I've been sticking around here, venturing up to the NWAF, and that new base near vybor on occasion to find players and pristine items. I've currently been alive for around 13 days. With usually around 2-4 hours played every day. As a veteran of both arma II and the mod, this has to be my favorite area to stick around. Pretty much avoiding the south is what's kept me alive, that, and my ridiculous amount of hours logged on arma II, the mod, and now the SA.

I tend to live a really long time. Gathering supplies inland and North, then heading to the coast to give aide to any friendly that wants to chat.

Then I head out again and restock whatever I gave out.

Killing every freakin' zombie mother along the way.

Just wish there were more zombies.

I've lost a couple characters to wipes but only been killed once.

I waved at a guy who had an axe, he waved back. I turned to walk away, so did he. Then he came running around the other side of the building and axed me to the face.

Not friendly.

Me and my group of six are planning to go down south on a bit of an expedition but I expect to go and die down there. Although sitting up north is the safest thing to do. If you're lucky and smart enough it can also be easy and sometimes really boring. The thing is I use to be a real ass on the mod cause I can snipe from a distance and never interacted with people but now cause everyone's got m4s everyone's forced to come closer making us interact and more reluctant to shoot others which I think is a real plus.

Really? I find the exact opposite. Now that everyone has m4s they all KoS because everyone's too much of a threat. And people with scoped mosins are the people that have helped me. (Many many times).

Edit: I've never been helped by someone with an m4. Just shot at.

Me and my mates chill at zelenogorsk and every armed guy there is friendly

I dunno if it's cause I'm Aussie but I don't get these kos threads cause well

I don't see enough kos'ing for it to be a real problem

You and your mates are probably very intimidating. Zelen is a pretty good ways away from where people specifically go to KoS bandits and bambis. I don't have a problem with KoSing at all. Its just that it happens a lot more than it probably should when everyone's got automatic assault rifles with them.

Not many want to die and lose their gear, it promotes shoot first mic later.

The fact that there is at least three of us at a time, it would make sense that people feel threatened. There was an unarmed guy yesterday who we shot after he tried to kill us with his axe. We had our weapons done but he tested his luck trying to kill us.

I had no idea why an unarmed guy is that far away from anywhere with so little but yeh I see your point.

+16 hours, if I don't count deaths by bugs of char wipes or a giant fucking rock swallowing me and vomiting me +6m in the air.

I kill everyone I see except my group. Anyone who's not in our clan and has the valor of showing up in my line of sight is TAUNTING me and gets killed or handcuffed and humiliated and recorded on video. Except two newspawns who were really good at talking to me and listened to my advice. The one I wanted to live suicided because he couldn't get out of the handcuffs. I enjoy that shit.

That's how you live long without this getting boring.

Berenzino is the place I go if I wish to die. Literally every journey I have took there has resulted in my death.

I really do think that absolutely no one is friendly in this game, even if they say they are... deep down they are murdering sons o' bitches.

Nah.

We at Freeside and TMW haven't murdered anyone so far, unless they've attacked us first.

Yup, at least one of my friends always ends up dead whenever we journey there. Last time it was on the roof of a hospital while my friend tried to loot a mosin. He got sniped before he could pick it up.

Hmm not too long yet, but I have had a fair few wipes and bug falls in between so probably my longest so far has been 15 hours of gameplay ... my current char is pushing 10 so far and I think will live for a fair while. I was how ever completely new to SA and had never played the mod so I am still getting used to being both cautious and dropping my FPS mentality.

I haven't been killed by another player yet. (Other than when my friend accidentally AXED me with a fire-axe when we were trying to boil rice)

I died when running off a shed, which does not count IMO, I'll post a vid soon, It's obvious why the barns are empty, you'd die if you fell so it must be work in progress..

I usually just have to restart when bugs or failed restarts occur.

so... I would have had a very long life if I could cut-out all the elements of Alpha.

Yeah, its really brutal when you die from glitches like walking through walls and falling from the third floor after 20 hours of survival and full inventory of awesum gearz.

Its very..... bittersweet. You weren't defeated, yet you still lost.
