Twice it happened to me on the 2nd floor of the military jailhouse(or whatever the one with a jail on the 1st floor is called). The first time I logged back in long enough to get my rifle equipped when a guy ran up the stairs right in front of me, I panicked lol and twitched about 4 shots into his chest...The second time I peeked over the stairs and saw a guy crouched at the bottom, watching the front door, and since I prefer to only kill when I have to I watched and waited till he left before going on my way. blecter 9 Posted January 10, 2014 I stupidly logged out on the second floor of a jailhouse today up at Green Mountain while waiting for a bud. Spawned back in, ran 10 feet, heard "Don't shoot, I'm friendly", then gunshots, I die, then a voice says "Oh yeah, I'm not really". This guy will not be spawning near civilization again. Timecharge 28 Posted January 10, 2014 I usually log out around pine trees gives good cover for logging back in and there usually aren't many zombies. I also usually log out near places i am very familiar with so if I don't play for the bit i always know where i am and am not standing confused and lost in a forests. cysinyard 12 Posted February 6, 2014 Around my third life, was looting electro firehouse. Being a noob and not knowing better I logged out in the second or third story of the tower. Logged in a few days later in a night server, I side strafe and BAM, silhouette of a zombie in the window. Didn't hear me till i strafed luckily, then me and that brittney spears prostitute lookin zedhead have a pitch black fist fight, all the time dreading falling down the bloody stairs. Came out of it alive but badly bloodied. Strangely enough have not seen a zombie on the second story or above of a building since... are they even supposed to spawn there? VtotheJ 5 Posted February 6, 2014 Yeah this is going to happen now with the new update to prevent combat loggers and server hoppers ... you need to log out in a safe area and give ample time from your last item you picked up... you can think your logging out in the woods but the game will put you in the middle of a town if you log out right after looting... This is what I used to do in the MOD, so it would make sense to do this now that the new update has kicked in. Definitely making people choose more selectively when and where they log off. Logged in again and were stuck in the wall.Luckily I was able to run (double tap W) and jump (pressing V while running) out of the wall after a while.I think this could be interesting for a lot of Newbies like me. After the last patch, I logged out under a few trees a few dozen meters away from a village.As I logged back in later, I spawned in the village.Not that bad, but pretty strange...
