t4r4n 2 Posted January 7, 2014 Greetings, my suggestion is to create a few language forums like French Forum, Spanish Forum, German Forum, Portuguese Forum,Italian Forum.... English forum i think is not needed.
rossums 2190 Posted January 7, 2014 English is by far the most prevalent language on the forums, why would an English forum not be needed?
Inception. 9443 Posted January 7, 2014 Do you mean to say that the English forum in general is not needed and it should be removed?
Khad (DayZ) 293 Posted January 7, 2014 Everybody who want's to play DayZ has to know some english, I guess. I think the split will just lead into reposts of reposts and their reposts. Let's learn Esperanto and make a board for this.

h0rschd 27 Posted January 7, 2014 i think he is talking about subforums, so there would be no need for an english one as the mainforum is already in english language.
Combine (DayZ) 247 Posted January 7, 2014 i think he is talking about subforums, so there would be no need for an english one as the mainforum is already in english language. Makes sense now. Eh, actually, it could make sense to have some. Doesn't mean you don't have to speak English but you could organize some stuff "local(ized)". Might require certain mods or support staff to keep clean however. *volunt-...* The mods or whoever checks them can simply get summaries regarding feedback to the game or so. In short, it would seem "modern" but might require some more resources.
OrLoK 16185 Posted January 7, 2014 Hello there ATM AFAIK the demand simply has not been there. For example the Russian part of the mod forum has been very quiet of late. Also, there's the issue of moderation. Not all of us are bi lingual. Saying that though, there is n upcoming restructure so anything could happen. Lastly, there's nothing stopping one from making a foreign language thread in off topic/general. Rgds LoK
Combine (DayZ) 247 Posted January 7, 2014 Well, I guess that (specific threads) would also work and might spare the mods (who I reckon are also employees or at least trusted, not any random picked members?) additional work. If worst comes to worst one could still report and translate or let someone translate, if anything would require moderation. I suggest anyone thinking about it adding a tag in front of the thread and / or a disclaimer on top of the post when making such thread. At least it seems nicer. t4r4n 2 Posted January 8, 2014 Oh men, i was speaking about subforum, why do you need a general discussion subforum in english if you have it in the main forum? The multilanguage subforums only needs a few subforums like General Discussion,Guides and Clan Recruitment(in their language of course), not a big one like the russian forum. I think that a little part where you can speak in your language in this forum is a good idea to keep this great community. Sorry for my english.
