Fall Damage

hello comunity and dev Team,

 

PLEASE redo the fall damage completely, not from scratch, but completely new.

i once jumped down the building with the big silos which are i would say are 50 metres (from the top) to kill myself and nothing happened (my ping was fine).

another time i fell down maybe two metres or smth. like that and broke my leg, or fell down from the lowest part of the firestation and died. also, i think it is not used to be like, that if you jump into water, you will hit the ground and die.

 

can you maybe like delete everything that has to do with fall damage and redo these things ?

 

i didnt knew where to put this, because it is a suggestion, but also a bug.

 

i personally think it has very high priority. i think this should be done right after respawning loot/zombies ( i think its more important than animals or cooking or cars ).

 

please keep up your good work, i am very pleased with the alpha but this is a real issue.

Falling is indeed horrible. Also world collision, you can fall threw floors, push players threw walls etc. The thing that scares me the most in this game is walking inside buildings.

The devs work on things like that right now and they will be (hopefully soon) history.

This is to do with the skeleton and terrain, it's not as simple as simply deleting a few lines of code and rewriting them.

 

As above - watch your step and don't go flying off the side of staircases. xD

I have encountered this quite a few times where I died from a 2 meter fall.

Every time I have fallen from ANY height that's higher than a couple steps, I die.

Something definitely needs tweaking, but is most likely already on the to do list.

stay away from the cargo ship, that thing is slippery when in any weather condition.
