Just some accuracy testing with the Mosin.

Scope was ranged to 300m

Actual range (270m - 300m )

 

5 shots per test

 

Pictures done with Blender and Gimp (free software) and too much time on my hands  <_<

Recording done with Dxtory.

 

Might do some for longer ranges if i get bored.

Bi-pod - Pristine.

Long range Scope - Pristine.

 

 

Feel free to draw your own conclusions the one that realy interested me was Crouch & Bi-pod retracted  :huh:

The last two results seem a little strange to me. If anything the bi-pod being on the rifle would affect how straight you shoot, similar to a bayonet. Otherwise seems pretty realistic.

nice to know that while crouching, bipod retracted, is the better choice

Its only 5 bullets though, the only consistent performer is Prone & bi-pod deployed.

I did experience some erratic shots with the others never consistent with the same grouping.

 

Although the bullets always pull left slightly on the prone & Bi-pod Deployed.

tbh I don't think the bullets pull left its the cross hairs are not properly centred and are a little to the right. how I know this is when playing in 3D with 3d sight enabled I can see that the cross hairs of the long range scope are off..

yes, the crosshairs are off on the mosin. Anything beyond 200m I have to aim to the right.
