Here's a fix for combat logging!

To fix combat logging I suggest that the player has to wait 30 seconds before they log out. During the wait period the only thing you can do is rotate your character and look by turning your head any other action including walking will cancel the 30 second delay. It upsets me to wait 2 hours for a player to walk into my field of fire then to just dissappear seconds after contact.

Or.... 

 

If you log out in the "wilderness" then your character is trapped in the gameworld for up to a minute, but logging out in doors (in cover) means you log out immediately providing an added dynamic to the purpose of finding shelter and camping etc...

 

For combat, can we not have a 30 second or 1 minute timer where if you are fired upon (round lands within X distance of you) or fire your weapon you are "in combat" which means if you log out regardless of being outside or inside you are stuck in the gameworld for 1 minute.

 

This is based off a very similar system for an old and now unfortunately closed MMO called Roma Victor.

This is already a hugely posted idea and well the devs know combat logging is a problem but i have a suggestion how about we dont moan and post about it in another new thread about it till we see what there solution is aye cause they have already stated its coming .

 

Once it is here then open this discussion up does there solution work if not what would be better etc etc but for now this is a dead (and dead obvious issue)

The devs already have a fix, but it is not implemented yet.  And know one really knows what it is

It's a queueing system as Rocket describes if you followed the link I posted. 

 

But meh, who wants to follow links and find information properly on a forum.  ;)
