300m Range on the mosin? Page up not going past 300.

I noticed the number in the top right corner was only going from 50, 100, 200, 300. then it stops at 300, and will not go past 300. But I set it to 300, and shot someone much further then 300m when I lined up the shot and did not compensate for bullet drop.

 

I have a PU Scope. Does that matter?

Here is a fun fact infested.

 

The mosins iron sights actually go up to 2000m.

 

The pu scope goes up to 1300m.

 

The game not having accurate elevation adjustments is why it needs a moa elevation system.

 

This way instead of giving you a bogus estimation of where the shot will hit it gives you a very accurate measurable number that you can replicate time after time.

You need a long range scope for the option to change.

The devs have just restricted it.

 

in game you can max it out out to 300m.

 

With the long range scope its 800m yet in reality there are no elevation adjustments in meters on the scope instead its 0 - about 90 or so moa.

 

With a common 20 moa or 40 moa base its  20 or 40 moa zero to 110- 130

So the scope maxes the range on the weapon? Or if I keep pressing Page up the sight adjusts by 100 past 300? Even though the game only shows 300? Like is it invisible sighting with a broken tool tip? 

 

EDIT: I am only talking about sighting. Not the weapons range on how far it can hit someone. I am only talking about the sights and adjusting for bullet drop.

On the scope itself it clearly shows adjustment from 100-1300 meters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

However as mentioned, for whatever reason, it has been restricted to a mere 50-300 meters.

I don't have any problem. I killed a hostile guy at 800 meters last night. NE airfield - sniper hill and shot him as he walked out of the western jail and raised his weapon against my team.
