Endless planes

I recently bought the stabdalone version of the game havibg only played the mod a couple times. I had followed the coastline north and now it seems i'm "lost" in endless planes. It's day 2 of hours and hours of running with nothing in sightm no coastline, trees, towns, etc. My character will not die and my screen is just blurry from becoming near unconscious. Someone had suggestes running towards the sun, so I had joined a 24/7 day server and started doing that but again I seem to be getting nowhere. Any similar cases?

you've gone off the edge of the map...you need to run east and south. Read up on how to use the sun to do it :)

Thanks for the response guys. In my current situation it's pretty difficult to determine cloud direction what with the screen being a complete blur. I can only barely make out whete the sun is.

Going into the video options then back to the game should take away the blur.

Hmm, saw clouds moving north to south today. Also it was a very cloudy day.

Ok, I thought maybe my perception was off but before I found myself in this mess I thought I noticed sporadic cloud movement when trying to use them to navigate.

Also, now character movement freezes when running. Forced to alt+tab out and terminate program.
