I don't like what current state of player interaction has turned into

I ran into this guy with an axe and a biker helmet on. He was trying to talk to me through the mic asking me things like where am i and this and that. Well i had NO weapons but i had good things like a can opener one of those medium back packs, ammo, food and other things. Didnt want to risk it because lets face it HONESTLY even when they try to chat with you via mic theres that chance there still playing you for a fool. So what did i do? I turned the fuck around without micing to the guy and started running because he just very well might have been distracting me long enough for one of his friends to bash me. The guy gets pissed and starts chasing me with his axe telling me that im hiding shit and now he has to chase me. Well screaming at me saying where you going with a weapon isnt going to make me slow down thats for sure. I managed to loose the guy cause i kept running. But still it was better than risk having to deal with him with just fist and no head gear protection.

anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all, or so i've been told. i could tell you anecdotes of vile asshattery from years ago, so i dont think it was different in the past. every new article on a gaming blog created waves of new players, and among them both great and obnoxious personalities.

It is a little difficult to make much sense out of your nonsense, but it seems you're not really stating anything other than your opinion. Calling me a hyprocrite, a carebear, smart (sarcastically), or saying people can stop using it but not really pointing out why in a logical sense does not help whatever your arguement is.

I'm fully supportive of playing this game however you wish. This is why I have recommended waiting for PvP disabled private servers for certain playstyles in a different thread. I'm simply pointing out that certain playstyles in the game as is will result in some fairly common consequences.

I did not tell him how to play, i just pointed out that he is a fucking bitch for logging off in the middle of combat, that is always a bitch move no matter what game you play.

I was fully kitted out and travelling up north today, as I was running across a field with hay balls I saw another player running out of the trees towards me. I hid behind a hay ball till he got closer and I was able to see he had no weapons and was alone, ect.

 

I get out of cover, approach him and say hello. As I try to communicate, saying "I'm friendly, do you have a mic" ect, he puts his hands in the air, gets on his knees and proceeds to put his hand behind his head. All the while I'm saying things like "do you need anything, dude stop doing that, get up, put your hands down". Eventually he gets up off his knees starts to walk off and eventually starts to run. He never said a word and I'm left standing there wondering what the hell just happened.

 

It didn't use to be like this in the mod did it? It was never like this. Kos, general unfriendliness and banditry was always present in the mod but the general mood and attitudes of strangers meeting in the game was never like this.

 

Could be he didn't speak English, or couldn't be bothered to learn to chat. I had lots of interactions like this in the mod. I'm not KOS but not responding to me is a quick way to get shot. Can't abide squirrely motherfuckers in the vicinity.
