Please add the ability to hold mirror on a stick to see around corners

Recommended Posts

In the D-Day part of Saving Private Ryan (Great Movie) one of the characters takes gum, a mirror and a stick and puts em together to look at the mg nest around the corner Could we possible see this in standalone for first person servers? Crafting a makeup hand mirror a stick and some suck tape to make an object for the use of looking around corners?

EDIT: I am not talkin about using this on third person servers for it would be a gigantic waste of time. On first person servers thats where it would be useful. Besides that you wouldn't be able to see much of anything around the corner with the mirror except for right in front of you if you use a small mirror and look at it from 2 feet away.

What use it will have atm when everyone is 3th personing around the corners and beyond the walls?
Also more importants issues the fix than some mirrors. Its ok if they add this later but atm, dont think so.
1st person server or not.

Dude what!? Isn't this the main argument against 3rd person...? That you can see over an around walls? No but this way would be more "legitimate", right?

If you and I are surviving, basic crafting of everyday objects like a mirror which are everywhere, like a stick which grow on trees and duct tape should be a viable option to use when creating items to use while surviving.

As I said in the other thread, also on the first page...

Mirrors to look around corners?  If only there was a way to do this already....

It sounds a lot like first person only remorse.

I'd like to see this, in case I decided to ever play on a first person only server, but, based on the fact that it only benefits that portion of the community,  there are about a million other things that should be added or fixed first.

Right. Which should be sort of a hint that the 1st vs. 3rd person argument isn't as cut-and-dry as everyone wants you to believe. Mirror or not, if there's a 250 pound man barreling down a conjoined hallway in my direction, I ought to be able to gauge his relative position, speed, direction of travel and estimated arrival time given my powers of human perception alone. It makes no sense that I just hear ambiguous footsteps from someone who could be anywhere from 10 to 100m away and have to otherwise rely on my vision which for some reason by the way is now a fixed cone in front of my weird alien eyes.

But let's not have this argument again.

By the way, your posts look really odd to people who don't use a black background on the forums.

i agree fixing things like people being able to look around corners without peeking is way more important then adding a mirror to look around corners, stuff like the mirror is really cool and useful but should be added at a later stage.
