crazyandlazy 376 Posted January 3, 2014 I just won a firefight in a town near the NW Airfield. There were two guys and one combat logged when his friend died. It was so intense. I had a Mosin and had to keep my distance throughout the whole time. I was using the cabins as cover. My heart was racing so much man it is so hard to concentrate. I controlled my breathing and kept trying to flank him. There were some wire fences blocking my way and I was like come on come on come on! Then finally I got to him and shot him in the back with my Mosin. I love this gun. So accurate. I got too excited cause he was trying to KoS me at first so I went near his body and said well that was stupid. That almost got me killed cause his friend came by around the corner. I think he did not see me though cause he combat logged later. I waited in a house by the stairs for a good 5 minutes before flanking the whole town and finally coming back to the dead body. The dude had one empty ammo box and one full. He had like 3 60 clips dual mags. I left everything he had cause I am practicing my Mosin. He was not completely useless though cause I got 20 clips off of him for my gun. The heart man! The heart! It was pumping so fast. DevilDog (DayZ) 455 Posted January 3, 2014 Awesome I love it. I got attacked while walking toward Elektro. I got shot and hid behind a tree to bandage up while getting shot at. All I carry is a pistol and this guy had M4 and his friend had an axe I could see. So I take off running across the ridge line (a target moving across you is harder to hit than a target moving toward or away), a hail of gun fire rained down on me but he missed, then I heard along with the M4 the loud BOOM of the .357. nicolasvei (DayZ) 9 Posted January 3, 2014 Even if I played the mod for about a thousand hours, still today I get this adrenaline rush everytime I get into a firefight, it's so intense :D I love it so much, this is the only game who put me in this kind of state. NuckFuts 265 Posted January 3, 2014 I miss the old 'You are Dead' Splashscreen with the sad violin type music. Whilst it was on screen and the music was playing I used to have my head in my hands asking myself why.. oh why the fuck did I do that.. Why didn't I stay in cover.. or why didn't I just let that guy walk past. Many a time cursing myself for something I should have handled better... often wondering why I suck so bad, hours upon hours of wasted effort for nothing.. then realizing I am probably feeling the same as the guy ten minutes beforehand felt when I filled him full of lead and looted him, while he was staring at the same screen! ZedsDeadBaby 2287 Posted January 3, 2014 These are my favorite sorts of threads, because everyone will shower you with beans and tell you congratulations and how awesome your story was, and then go off and complain how "KoS is ruining DayZ" ignoring that that's basically all that happened here.
