Pyrik 3 Posted January 4, 2014 That was a really good vid, original and a nice change to watch - gj!
fortran 246 Posted January 4, 2014 very cool vid. but the place on the street would be a bit too dangerous for me too because it looks strong like a trap.but on the other spots i would just took the ammo and free u. Nice vid! Would love to see some more of this kind of thing. I'm with Lauri7 though, I'm guessing you might have more luck if you don't set up out in the open at all, people are naturally going to assume that you are possibly a lure for a sniper. danchillz 20 Posted January 4, 2014 I really like this. It literally shows exactly what DayZ is like. Very good experiment! :)
Dchil 829 Posted January 4, 2014 And like that i'm immediately running past elektro to cherno the next time i spawn. I can survive the run on a fresh spawn, i'm just lazy though.
Arty (DayZ) 47 Posted January 4, 2014 That was great vid. Please make more. This could be a thing
SammyD 300 Posted January 4, 2014 Thanks guys for all the great feedback! I've started putting together another Social Experiment which will be just as good :)
I Feel Thirsty 1 Posted January 6, 2014 I've started putting together another Social Experiment which will be just as good :) Cool! Is it going to be in the same places again or other parts of the map? I don't like your chances at the NW Airfield. Maybe have the keys in your pack along with a gun and ask them to get it out of your bag? To see if they steal all your stuff
McBonkhead 83 Posted January 6, 2014 Hopefully, random acts of kindness will spread in DayZ. It's far more entertaining in my opinion. +
The Aquatic Land Walrus 565 Posted January 6, 2014 I know a social experiment. Strand someone in the woods near NWAF, about 1000M away. Break their leg, and leave them with nothing but Disinfectant. Make sure the barracks in NWAF have a LOT of good loot. Walk out of their field of view, but secretly keep watch on them. Make sure to note whether they take the easy way out and suicide, or crawl all the way over to NWAF for the gear you promised. I'd be quite interested in one of those experiments. Leo Leonardo III 20 Posted January 6, 2014 Once met a lad armed with a fire axe. I had a loaded pistol primed for him. He looked at me and stood for a few moments. I told him: "Hey listen man, no need to get violent for loot or anything; after all it's just a game. Tell you what, I'll let you have to the rest of the loot here, and I'll be on my way. You keep your weapon away, I'll keep mine away. Deal?" He gave me a sort of nod, and I went about my way. Never saw him again after that. In short, I think if you can alleviate someone's fears, you can safely work with them. Personally, I would help you. I can't stand to see someone being a total Jackass. I like to help people learn and experience. Another concept is when I met a person entirely new to Day Z. I cuffed him and left about 4 cans of beans, and 3 sodas on his person, uncuffed him and pointed him in the direction of cherno. Make people have fun gents; they'll keep coming back for more; just give them a reason to.
liquidcactus 719 Posted January 6, 2014 hahaa very nice idea.. how long was the longest you waited for another player to make contact with you ?? cant wait to see what other weird and wonderfull ideas like this that will pop up from the community :D
hrdrok 183 Posted January 6, 2014 Funny how the most helpful were the best armed! Ya very interesting point. They had the most to lose and still helped.
SammyD 300 Posted January 7, 2014 hahaa very nice idea.. how long was the longest you waited for another player to make contact with you ?? cant wait to see what other weird and wonderfull ideas like this that will pop up from the community :D Well in this video it was about 45 mins. I sat cuffed for an hour and 20 mins last night recording footage for the next video, which will be ready for upload tonight :) It's been harder the 2nd round time, everything seemed to go wrong, got some good footage though so hopefully it turns out just as well :D
jasher11 67 Posted January 7, 2014 this was an awesome experiment, it seemed like the most geared ones were the ones that helped, and the ones with no gear, picked up the weapon and left :/ or just ignored you completely props to you for such a good idea
