Geared players on the coast

What else are you going to do once you're fully geared up?

How do you try to help someone that would gladly axe you in the face after you try and help them? You provide them free bullet implantation.

The idea that people need "help" in DayZ is a myth. Nobody needs help. All I need is my fists.

I'm quite well geared atm and a friend of mine just bought the game. He knows a bit about it, so I'm on my way to the coast to track him down (when my friend finishes downloading :P).

Once I get to the coast I have some nice gear to share with him and if I think there's a chance someone could prevent that from happening then I will gun them down like a hog.

 

Most of the time I will live and let live, or even attempt trade. But in this instance I am delivering supplies to a specific target and I can't chance having someone track me back or hold me up.

 

Just as an example of why someone who has the gear is on the coast,

Keep vigilant? If you walk over to a guy with an axe and keep your sights on him, drop some food for his travels, escort him, or something, as long as you keep your damn eyes on him that wont happen, and if you're worried about getting a axe in your back, don't help others with an axe? I've helped lots of people when I was fullied gear, people with and without weapons. Never had one stab me in the back.

It's a direct result of the crappy coastal spawn system and boredom.

 

If spawning was dynamic and theere was no way to anticipate where player locations would be this would not be a problem.

I've helped lots of people when I was fullied gear, people with and without weapons. Never had one stab me in the back.

I help everyone find their way back to spawn.

Get some gear, head back to the coast and kill the trolls. Much more satisfying than what they're doing.

My group is on a mission to depopulate the eastern coastline. Love when they do the running punch glitch while screaming Hanover direct. That's when they get a taste of .357

My character is in deep depression, bored as hell, he goes to coast to kill everyone on sight for sport, he doesn't care if he dies up there...
I saw in game trailer that you can suicide with taking a bullet into your head, is it realy possible? because i think this is the end for my fully geared char with hundreds of bullets, he can't take it anymore and jumping from the cliff or building is too mainstream.

Well i plan on taking on these Coastal parasites. 

 

Nothing like putting a fire axe to the back of their heads as they are scouting the coast line without looking behind them.

There's really no point in helping new spawns. Giving them food doesn't help because its gonna be a while before they need it. Water/Soda is much more beneficial to them anyways, but anyone who seems to help them prefers to give food.

 

But if they get a weapon, chances are you're gonna die or have to use bandages if you don't kill them quickly. If they are naked, chances are they're gonna steal your gear if you don't shoot them before they get too close. It is just way too much risk and way too little reward on this task.

I somehow escaped these murders and when I got too far I said I'm finally free, I guess I was that one lucky... :)

I've been at the coast fully geared only to kill off the bandits and hand out supplies so people stop jumping off the nearest building, it's quite fun.

State of the game atm is to gear up (server hopping) then go back to balota and coast and have fun till u die...north...i think at this moment maybe 15 % of players go there...why..cuz is more easy to gear up at coast near balota etc(2000 m circle ) u have exactly 6 military barracs 1 tower 3 jails (one 100 m from balota in big buildings above ceherno) and at least 10 tents...so why go to north....on the road to there is Zelenovsk 2 Mili baracs 1 jail + 1 jail on green mountain and then 6000 m far away NWAF with 1 tower 2 jails 2 mili barracks and 10 tents...+nobody there...lol.

 

Huge mistake is allready commited....eastern part of map is very poor on Military loot...therefore barely inhabited with survivors...maybe only their dead bodys after they suicide...and is loong road to Map Modding in this build...i would make coast weak on Military  loot and more eastern and more north better millitary spawn if you are hardcore(from present spawn points).....now people do not have reason to go north...this server hopping is very bad and exploative....this will not work..(u can log out go on another server behind oponent and spawn there then kill him safe in his position,NONCENCE )   including new zombie and loot spawn sistem....this is not good not good at all....

9 times of 10 when I go to the coast to find new spawns they run for their dear life.. I don't even aim to kill, most of the time I gear them up with medical supplies, food, and a water source, then point them in directions of good loot.. unless they think they are Rocky... then they get fire axed...

Instead of adding more bases, I say remove all the barracks and tents south. Keep nwaf and neaf as the only. Scatter crashed humvees with chances of mil loot across road ways, and bring back crashed helis by the north west. Possibly add random overrun checkpoints with mil loot in the north east. This will cause players spawning on the civilian loot coast to move north again.

Which is for some reason superior? They just meet up in the north and murder each other. I don't see what making them run for an hour first accomplishes other than reducing the number of interesting areas in the game and making everyone congregate on the one bunker at the NWAF like it's Mecca. That was the worst aspect of the mod and I would hate to see them go back in that direction.

I listed more than one base with various randomized mil loot spawns on the way to eliminate the congestion at NW only. Who knows what else is being added in the unfinished northern areas as well.

When other things like base building is added in, I expect the populations will also push north into remote areas without loot incentive.
