Does magazine size have an effect on M4 bullet dispersion

Recommended Posts

I am still learning the effects various attachments have on the modular M4 in Standalone. One thing I am wondering is if magazine size impacts medium to long range accuracy.

If it does not, is that something that should be implemented? It makes sense to me that a smaller magazine would give the operator greater control over shot placement at longer distances. For balancing reasons, so long as random bullet dispersion remains a thing it should at least be considered, shouldn't it?

I don't think it does and it shouldn't. At max range for an m4, magazine size shouldn't affect its shot placement. Maybe mobility and weapon handling in close quarters should be affected by mag size  as that is a more realistic effect.

Its shoudnt.. if it would larger mag should bring stability due the added mass, not the smaller one... and the added or lost stability that you would gain with mag change would be really.. really minor.

There is seriously nothing they can truly implement, for magazine size. How is a longer mag, going to affect you going through rooms? unless your going OG GANGSTA, and holding you gun sideways. Also, if you've ever held a fully loaded 30 round mag in real life, They do not have even close to enough weight to affect recoil, and bullet dispersion is all on the barrel of the gun, and the muzzle. Please tho, if im wrong someone correct me, always like to learn.

It's a valid question. Many other attachments in the game have effects on accuracy that don't make any sense. <_<

I know I do....

OT: I don't see, realistically how it would affect the accuracy of the fired shot.

Wouldn't it be the opposite?  Wouldn't a larger magazine with more weight help to keep the gun leveled out instead of drifting up?
