I fire 5.56mm NATO weekly during my job in the Uniformed Services, the round is not as powerful as you think or as deadly... any bullet is deadly and dangerous do not get me wrong, but the 5.56mm NATO is not a devastating round by any means.

I see you are in Bragg, I'm interested in knowing what unit your in? I was in the 1/504 PIR, 82nd Airborne.

So you are saying without immediate attention from a trauma surgeoun your below average human being, with the conditions of those of Chernarus taking health and welfare into consideration, would be able to survive a .357 Mag gunshot wound to the chest? That is what was the original topic of discussion.

Does dayz stand alone have the stupid method of damage that Arma 2 had ?

Velocity = damage

Instead of taking a bullets weight into account ?

Not true, it is a pistol round not a rifle round, whilst a stronger than usual pistol round it still should have nowhere near the strength of 556 or 76254 or any rifle rounds

Listen to this idiot Thinking a 556 has any real power

News flassh a 556 is a glorified .22 round

There are extremely common actually.  Usually two in like every firehouse.

Yeah I have two magnums right now even.  Just got the other to hand off to a friend or maybe some fresh spawn for the lols

1 shot kill to the chest is a bit much though.  To the head, sure.
