some question about dayz stand alone

hi  guys so today i got the game and i have 6 h of in game and i have  some questions

 

1- i have been playing the game for 6h and i have meet with only one person .is that normal ? as the server has 19 players 

 

2- so i lost blood every thing is now black and white that's normal. but when  i eat or drink  i don't heal at all .. have eat alot rise..bean..banana and drink alot of water without any sign of healing. 

 

3- how can i go to the south ? where are located most of the city's and i guess where the most of the player are

.

i know its a pre alpha but need some answers

1) 19 players scattered over 200+ square kilometers (although most people can be found indeed, near the south and the beach). So yes. It is :)
I'd recommend joining rather full servers if you are looking for player interaction (your character is saved, no matter what server you go to)

2) you probably haven't eaten or drunk enough yet. It's not enough to make the messages disappear, you need to eat and drink a lot more. You will start healing slowly once you get there.

3) if you want to use an online map:http://dayzdb.com/map#4.095.063    

try to find out in what city you are (look at signs with names on them) and then use your map to navigate

I played 3 days without seeing anyone

 

You need a saline infusion or someone to blood bag you as a quick fix but I beleive you must stuff your face with food and drink to bring back the colour to your face but it takes a very long time,..I personally havnt done it and I am usually black and white,.. however theres good youtube vids about defeating the dead without getting hurt

 

South is where the sun is usually so run in that direction but I suggest looking online at the map to give you a better idea of where you are

1. Yes, it changes. The map is very large and so you can be lucky or unlucky in finding other players.

2. I'm not sure if food/water actually gives you blood in the standalone, but if it does then you might just have to eat/drink a lot more to see a noticeable difference.

3. Simply: by running - or if you don't have any decent gear or you have gear that you don't mind losing, let a zombie kill you or jump off a high point to possibly get a better spawn.

Watch the vid that is posted on this site. It explains in very great detail how the food and drink system works in game. There is not point in hording food or drink. You should eat and drink as much as you can until you get the msg that you are stuffed basically. Once you are healthy you will begin to regen blood at a faster rate. Find a water well and drink until you get full, (takes about 30 drinks give or take), and eat as much as you can.

another question . how do i create a new character ?.. i mean start everything from 0

 

and is it normal that my re-spawn  button doesn't work ?its seems  blocked

 

 anyone can i add on steam ? .. i don't have friends that plays dayz

You have to die if you want to create a new character, currently the respawn button only works once you're unconcious.

Well.... in military bases and on airfields, which are basically military hangars. 

 

Some in cars, schools and firestations, too.
