Do blood bags expire yet?

Recommended Posts

I have made 6 blood bags to do some medic work (I am type o negative) and I am wondering if blood bags are programmed to expire yet, and what happens if you inject expired blood?

I have seen rumors that keeping it in a medical bag prolongs their shelf life, but haven't heard anyone mention expired bags.

Has anyone tested this yet?

I have my blood bags in a medic bag and they're still pristine after ~20h of gametime. That's all the research I have on the subject.

You're looking too much into it. You'll need a refrigeration unit to keep them fully primed. Without them, you'll be getting them hot and cold on a daily basis, and sometimes covered in icky water.

That's just speculation.

Check this out then see what's what.

Id suppose, if you store them in one of the yellow containers, they last longer ( like fresh fruit should )
