Please do not change the loot of intensities to prevent Server hoppers

Recommended Posts

I love the fact that loot doesn't respawn though. Picking a direction to go and stopping by every house on the way is the best way to play the game.. and seeing doors already open and houses picked clean makes it more authentic. Because then I have to look at a map and go "okay.. someone has clearly been up this way... most likely they followed the road to [insert town here] so I'll cut through the woods and check out this other town.."

In the mod I could, rather cheaply I might add, walk 30m away and come back to any given location and the loot would be completely different whether it was looted or not. You never had to keep moving if you didn't want to.

sorry my english

I like this new system too, although server hoppers will always exist, no matter what they do, it's the same with combat loggers, there is only so much we can do.

It's cool that a player can't get super geared up easily, but nobody wants to run around for 45 minutes to find a M4 or a magazine because the server is picked clean, either.

Also on any server that is picked clean, there's no reason to go to loot areas after that.  At least when there is more loot, people have a reason to return there, thus interactions or PvP or what have you.

Having a reason to move is good, but loot that doesn't ever respawn (sans server restart) isn't the best solution.

the server can be programmed to restart 3 hours, and when the system is resolved hoppers or even hindered, the spawn of items should be the same.

More realism to the game and a little more difficult.

Sorry but who think that items should always spawn after you already have ransacked the place is because not only seeks PVP and an immersion in the game.

It's easy enough to prevent server hoppers. Just add a timer for swtiching servers and people will stop doing it. Combat loggers is just have like a 15-30 second timer before someone can log out and it's fixed. It's simple stuff to fix really

There is something to this, I too find that the no gear until re spawn has some interesting side effects.  Maybe a 1 hour gear respawn would have some of the benefits without some of the disadvantages.

I like the idea of things not respawning regularly. I'd like to see stuff respawn, just not on a fixed schedule aside from at server restart. It takes away the regularity to the ebb and flow of looting activity and evens out the likelihood of encountering other looters at any given time.

In the mod they made buildings respawn loot every 15 mins to stop farming. Something similar on the SA could be good, just a bit longer. Say somewhere between 30 mins and an hour respawns each individual building.

yup gotta love having to join a low pop server just to get some beans/gear then having to hop on to a high pop server to actually play the game. great system.

just so you know I'm being sarcastic the current system is a piece of shit and realism needs to be put to the side for gameplay sake.
