carbine781 (DayZ) 131 Posted December 31, 2013 At 100% resolution, ambient occlusion and post processing disabled, textures and texture filtering on normal, and everything else on low/normal/verylow, i get around ~30 fps in forests and small towns. It used to be higher, but i think my computer has been acting a little weird. Last time i was at cherno, it was about 28 and the cities north of cherno and elektro are about 15. libertine 351 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Good writup on how vsync works: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=928593 My system i7-2600+ with 570SLI Average frames in big cities: 25'ish Average frames elsewhere 38ish. Noticed shadows on very low increases my fps by 1 most times. On "normal" even more (normal shadows doesn't display at the correct distance in 3D Vision tho). This doesn't help when deep in a forest, something about the trees even though there seems to be just as much geometry in big cities. Leto (DayZ) 72 Posted December 31, 2013 I'm holding on to this rig until I see i7's and monster GPUs handle this game graphically well (which I'm not seeing at the moment). My i7 is from the first generation that came out 4-5 years ago. It's probably bottlenecking my rig. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7+920+%40+2.67GHz
