(Video) Fight for Pavlovo Military Base (North Kamenka) :: Mini squad fight

Recommended Posts

Went through the ending and it looks like you might have gotten ghosted, something that looked like a player obstructed your view as you peeked down the stairs.

At the end you blame shoot on sight, but the first thing you do when you encounter the player at Pavlovo military base is to shoot before trying establish any contact, dispite this guy obviously seen you first and didn't shoot...

I agree on the fact he didn't shoot me first and had the chance to seeing as he saw me first, however he didn't talk/type in direct therefore I took him as hostile. And he had a good chance to do so seeing as my friend saw him a good 20 seconds or so before I shot.

The way I see it; he could of 3rd personed around the wall he was at and told me to drop my weapon and all that stuff (which I would of complied) but he made no attempt. He definitely did know I was there way before I knew he was after my friend seeing him (me thinking he was seeing stuff).

I'm not saying what I did was the right thing, but yeah I hope you can kind of see my point.

As for the ending, the guy who killed my friend down stairs in the tec building didn't need to kill on sight, my friend was sorting his inventory but instead he chose to go in all guns blazing. He was probably following us from a distance but didn't have a good shot...

I know it seems two-faced but if you watch the parts prior to this, you'll see that I don't usually kill on sight in DayZ standalone (infact I'm pretty sure I haven't at all playing standalone so far)

People play their own way. You make yourself look worse calling people call of duty dickheads, or saying they don't know how to play, 'cause you did the exact same thing. This game isn't intended to be played in any certain way, its your own experience. Don't get mad 'cause you got killed, 'cause at the end of the day that's half the fun, having to go loot up again.

Sure, I'd most probably shooted first as you did if I was in the same situation.

Will i shoot on sight a fresh spawn without weapon (or a melee weapon if he is at safe distance)? most probably not. I would even give him a can of food and a drink if I could.

But it's not, IMHO, justify to call "COD dickhead" a player that will shoot on sight another (armed by the way) player.

If I'm fully geared, alone, without cover on a high pop area, and I meet a armed guy, whatever he is sorting his inventory or not, I'll shoot.

If the guy was following you as you expect, then I think it was a good move. I decided to play as a hunter, and he got your friend.

It's just a little bit shocking/boring for me to hear player name others players "COD kids" or whatever as soon has they don't play the same way than you play.

Because it's the main purpose of DayZ for me: to play the game your way, your style. The game is just a toolbox.

Except when there is exploit/abuse (server hopping, combat logging) involved, I think all playstyle should deserve a minimum of respect...

I wasn't mad about dying.

I know I killed on sight however, they made no effort to talk in direct/type when he first saw me. Therefore I took them as being hostile. Although I didn't see them till the last second, they were very aware of my existence. They could of third personed around a wall and held me up or at least talked and I wouldn't of shot. But instead they kept quiet and could of got the jump on me any second later.

"Shoot on sight dickheads".... Shoots on sight.

1 zombie every 10 miles and you're complaining about PvP? I'm looking for busy servers just for a decent group v group fight and you're complaining about a shoot out? Personally... the more PvP the better! And I'm pretty sure, "what this game is supposed to be..." is an apocalyptic MMO where people are desperate and unpredictable. Not some care bear, hug fest where we talk about our feelings and hold hands while shooting zombies together.

Not trying to be a total dick... but one of my biggest pet peeves, is someone complaining about water being wet.

The videos before this one show me holding people up, robbing them ect and even one person we quizzed them and gave them a pistol, open food and drink because he had nothing. Although I play a kind of bandit style, I try to not shoot on sight, I'd rather hold someone up and take a couple of things off someone like food/drink and let them live. (DayZ mod is another story) lol.

I know I was a bit 'trigger happy' on that guy but it's a high grade military loot area that not a great deal of people know about (the footage is over a week old I just couldn't upload) we were there for the same reason as they were and they didn't make themselves known at all.

Where is the Video ?

Why did you remove it without giving some explication ?

Poor Show, don't bother in Future.
