That's having more fun playing this more than the mod?

 

Stop other players with guns/noguns for, trade, help and then split?

 

Really think this is going to be the best game ever?

I truly bought this thinking "Fuck it, $30 bucks". Only to realize I have more fun playing this than any game on my steam account. I even stopped playing Arma 3 and Dayz Mod.

I've been playing this game like I'm getting paid to play it. I have two accounts. One with 61 hours played, the other with 65 hours. 126 hours altogether.

Well, towards the beginning of the game I had some relatively neutral or interesting interactions, but as players become bitter from their deaths they tend to murder other players more. It also has to do with power dynamics. Like one time, I was walking on the road and up ahead I saw a man about 50m away walk over the crest. He pulled out his axe, and in response I raised my rifle. But then, I decided to wave at him, and sure enough he waved back, put his axe away, and we passed each other without incident. It just depends.

 

 

Also the other day at Komarovo I met a guy in his underwear, who pulled out a crowbar and used it to do a hilarious dancing animation. He gave me his backpack. Then we ran up the road to Balota together, just shooting the shit, at which point we ran into some other players who were playing Miley Cyrus over direct chat and dancing in a circle. As I was watching the weirdness before me, we started taking gunfire and I ran for my life. Oh DayZ.  :rolleyes:

Once they add more stuff KoS will decline. There will still be people who do it, but right now its everyone getting bored because there are only a few "endgame" items right now.

I think you can affect the people you meet.

 

I make my own luck, I either travel in a large group and carry a big stick(boom stick) or I travel alone and communicate positively, poses no threats and keep my distance to melee weapons and firearms. Getting dead is DayZ's way of telling you, you need to modify your behavior. If you're getting killed over and over, you're not getting the message.

I love this game and the best part! ITS ONLY ALPHA! Ive had my shared of Kos people, so now im a paranoid lonewolf that only trust people that cant kill me. But if you're loyal you'll have my axe and beans!
