Gameplay Recording Inquiry

Recommended Posts

I have been attempting to record my game using NVIDIA ShadowPlay, but it doesn't seem to currently work on my rig in Alpha (strange as works with my other games). I have read up on the threads which show that both Day Z Devs and NVIDIA is aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix.

In the meantime, what are my other options for capturing my gameplay?

Thanks :)

Livestreaming gives the ability to save the stream on your HDD.

DXtory is a very good low-impact capture tool.

You can use FRAPS, but the free version only allow time limited recording, and show a watermark

Fraps is also notorious for cutting your framerate in half when it feels like it. A problem DXtory does not have.

Bandicam has been a great tool for me, high quality and little effect on gpu plus small files

Fraps sucks shit.

Bandicam is the best for uploading to YouTube.

Dxtory is another good one though for uploading to YouTube I would use bandicam.

For streaming OBS is free.
