And I finally managed to find a magazine for the FNX45! I was looting the northern military base and the server reset and that's when I found it. Explains why I never find them, server hoppers. Since the server had just reset and it was night out I said screw it and ran north to NEAF. To my surprise NOTHING had been looted. I got to every single stinking building first. All I wanted was a PSU scope for my mosin but I ended up finding a worn ACOG scope, and a pristine foregrip for the M4. As I had finished with all of the buildings in the airfield I went and looted the tents. That's when I found a pristine silencer. I was like SHIT. I sadly decided to ditch my Mosin in favor of this silenced CQB death and ran back to the nearest building with a jail cell in it because I knew every one of them had an M4 in them. Ran upstairs and was looting it when I heard this click click chack click behind me. Instantly I knew that was the sound of someone logging in. I'd already had my pistol out and I spun around and sure enough standing there straight as an arrow was some piece of shit server hopper that was still loading in. I immediately smashed my left mouse button. 11 rounds later he was on the ground and my heart was racing. Unfortunately he logged off/respawned before I could loot him but he looked fully geared and was probably just looking for an attachment for his rifle.

 

I think I might just start camping those buildings from now on. Piss on all of you server hoppers.

Yeah. Only found 1 FNX45 mag so far. Have found easily over 50 M4s. I thought I read some patch notes somewhere that they're adding the revolver and reducing M4 spawn right by 50% in next patch. Can't remember where I saw it though and don't know if it was true.

The spawns are ridiculously set up : you'll almost always find a pistol mag in a fire station, to get a mosin you need to look in schools or bars, it's very rare ( impossible? ) to find one in other places.

The spawns are ridiculously high because spawns only happen on server restart and this is the start of the alpha. Relax and enjoy the ride because if Rocket is true to his statements, the game will be more like The Road than you probably want.

By the time he logged in probably half an hour had passed. If you understood what I wrote, the server was restarted while I was at the military base south of the airfield. So after the server came back up, I looted the entire base, ran to the airfield, looted the south eastern buildings, ran across, looted all of the hangars, looted firehouses and ATC on the way, then went and looted all of the tents, decided I wanted the M4, ran back to the nearest firehouse and that's when he spawned in. Soooo I'm thinking all of that took 15-30 minutes before he spawned conveniently behind me on the 2nd floor of a the firehouse.

 

Server hopper or extremely stupid place to conveniently log off. Either way he got what he deserved.

Must have been in the same situation as you, NWAF had 4 clips for the pistol (carrying it around with none) so i was finally able to load my 45 rounds into mags. Also got some new attatchments for the M4, which leaves me with a fully equipped M4, a 20 round mag, 2 x 10 round mags, a pistol with 4 mags fully loaded though am still yet to see a Mosin, I search the most obscure farms and buildings, guess i'm just not lucky. Maybe i'll stumble across a sniper one day :)

I'm sure the server hoppers are the first people to claim their KoS mentality is due to boredom from there not being anything to do in the game yet.  I don't mind searching for days for the pistol mag, it keeps me from getting bored, it also gives my characters life meaning.

I've had a 8/10 (or around about) success rate at finding the FNX45 along with mags and bullets for it in the fire stations. I'm extremely new, and therefore have only been to the fire stations inside Elektro and Cherno, but I seem to be pretty lucky for loot in there it seems.

Good job on busting the server hopper by the way. God damn they piss me off.

I'm sure the server hoppers are the first people to claim their KoS mentality is due to boredom from there not being anything to do in the game yet.  I don't mind searching for days for the pistol mag, it keeps me from getting bored, it also gives my characters life meaning.

It shouldn't be for the mag though, maybe for another couple rounds/ some saline.

I found my first mosin/ gun on a second story residential seat.

As if to say, I have been waiting Norris, then we frolicked together.

I found my first rounds, loaded it and logged off a little later.

The next day I found out Rocket had cleared everybody's character and I didn't get to shoot it, still haven't :( Y Ruckit!

I've had best luck finding pistol mags from fire stations.

 

I've played +50 hours now from which about 25 hours searching exclusively for Mosin. So far i have found them only from cafes (beige house as corner of house blocks) and red brick houses. (2 types).

are you kidding me? spawned near electro and when i had everything looted, i had about 10 full FNX mags and about 80 shots of ammo extra.. i even had to throw away a few mags, because it took to much space in my pockets... you  find these Mags really eeeeveryhwere, if the town wasn't looted before, the spawnrate feels as high as canned tuna

I was practicing my night navigation in a relatively empty server last night - long story short: started in Kamenka, stayed off the coast to Balota then tried to reach Zelenogorsk but ended up in Nadezhdino :(

 

BUT whilst I was in the area around Balota I heard an almost endless stream of gunfire from the airbase. For awhile I just watched the runway from the western end and saw fresh spawns chancing a dash across the tarmac to be taken out by a 'PVP-pro' defending his goodies xD

I've only found one pistol magazine in 15 odd hours of playing. In the same timeframe I found at least 40-50 M4 magazines of various sizes - I had to start throwing the damn things away!

I stumbled across a Mosin this morning while on the second floor of a hospital - not sure where I was since I had only re-spawned about a 1/2 hour earlier.

 

Never found any ammo for it - a few minutes after finding it I was searching through a barrack when a bandit cornered me in one of the rooms and put 2 bullets in me before I could even draw my shovel in what I knew would be a vain attempt at self defense...
