Please help me. I'm in desperate need of tech support [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

DayZ is currently unplayable for me. I freeze on about 90% of the servers I join. This usually happens within the first 5 minutes of spawning. If I get lucky with a server and don't freeze I can play for as long as I want.

I have validated the cache already, deleted my profiles in Document, reinstalled the whole game. I did everything within my power. Please for god's sake help me, I just want to play this game normally. I want to join any server I want. I want to just play the game for once without freezing in the first 5 minutes. Please god help me.

I already posted in the bug tracker, but I had no response. Here is my report: http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=3206

Please. Please help me.

What are your computers specs? Did you try checking canirunit.com?

I wouldn't recommend canirunit.com, that website is more often than not incorrect.

Thank you all for responding.

My power supply is more than fine. I have a ''be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W''

I also forgot to mention that when I freeze my audio still works (I hear hear birds chirping etc.), but my video has frozen.

Is it a permanent freeze or does it cease after a while? Perhaps wait around to see what happens?

Usually I kill the process after about 30 seconds. I'll go into a game and try again if it goes away after a longer period of waiting.

EDIT: Wow... I feel stupid now. After about 2 of waiting the game started again. Thanks for all the help everyone! Sorry for taking up your time.

Try and give that a shot and see what happens, My dayz on the first few plays did this and then it cleared by waiting for a while. It's not a full fix but at least you can get some well earned playtime in

If there is a system halt of any kind on any program there is always going to be an error report filed in your error reporting. This is a little advanced but hopefully I can explain this well enough: (Assuming Win7) Right click on 'Computer' and go to 'Manage'. From there you will see a few different options on the left, you're going to want to click on 'Event Viewer'. In the event viewer you will see 'Summary of Administrative Events' and under that little +'s with the names Critical, Error, and Warning. Click the + associated to 'Error' and a drop down should appear. From there you're looking for Event ID 1000, once found double click it.

A list of errors should appear. Try to find the error associated with DayZ by looking at the time stamps and after you've found it go to the text underneath the 'general' tab and copy all the text back here. I may be able to assist you if I have this information.

I've checked the list of errors but they are only there because I kept killing the process. The problem is more or less solved for me, I just need to have more patience.

Thanks for the amazing help and sorry for wasting your time because DayZ is working just fine.
