My wish list for Dayz

This is my personal wish list for Dayz SA final. You may or may not agree and I'm going to update thread as I think of things.

Spray tags
I know its a controversial one but I think they could have some good purpose and the turf war implications are enormous.
Game timer
For logging your best survival time, after all, isn't that the object?
Carryable/dragable players and corpses
Examples: To get a playerpr out of danger to assist medically, broken limb, unconcious etc.
Corpses to get them to a safer area to loot or to thwart suspicion.
In game currency
Hard to come by and very valuable. Trade stuff and buy stuff, opens up and Wholesale new avenue. Didn't hurt tf2 did it? Or did it??

Class/Ability system

Your newly spawned character would have aside from a particular blood group, a particular ability (class) be it mechanic, medic, weapons, explosives etc. You would have certain abilities within each sphere of involvement with item interaction. Could get cars going, could fix weapons, could heal quicker or with less resources etc.

The game timer idea is damn good. I like the idea of anything that will add value to the life of your character.

 

Spray tags is good in theory, but it would have to be done where you would have to pick from premade images to tag things with. Otherwise Chernarus would be covered in swastikas, anarchy signs and dicks. :\

I would definitely like to see number 3 but the rest are rather meh, especially the class system.

1. Nope, open to abuse. Don't want my towns spray painted like CS with tits and memes everywhere.

 

2. Ehh, game time = time in game or time since char creation?

 

3. Yes to the unconcious one, like the system in ArmA. No to dead players, either bury them or leave them , no Hitman sneaky shit here.

 

4. *Sigh*, No, players can barely tolerate one another, trading is out of the question. I would recommend reading up on things like Fiat money as well to understand why cash that was worth a lot before the disaster is worthless now, it's basic economics.

 

5. SEE MY SIG, USE THE BLOODY SEARCH FUNCTION.

Character creation. So you can keep a track of your personal best survival time.

(And I always use the search function) if my idea compounds on another's it doesn't mean I haven't searched it.

I'm not too proud to admit I may have even got the idea from someone else!

I would just love to see "PENIS" "ur a fag" sprayed all over cherno and elektro...

That would be good, if days/hours survived were on top of score board instead of k/d ratio.

That already were in mod, so excpet it soon in standalone.

It may beome very exploitable, abusable and hard to balance. Better not implent it.

Spray Tags - Would be very cool.  Don't have a problem with this in the slightest.  I definitely think you'd see a rise of gangs and "clans" in a post-apocalyptic world.

 

Game Timer - Yes please!  Definitely would love to track my survival times among other stats as well.

 

Carry/Drag Corpses - Absolutely!  Kill a guy in the streets?  Drag him in a building to safely loot :)  Buddy killed in the streets or unconscious?  Drag him somewhere to safety where you can protect/revive him.  Yes please!

 

In game currency - Could take it or leave it.  As it stands in game items are valuable enough to trade with.

 

Class/Ability system - Please god no.  I feel it goes against the core value of what makes DayZ unique.  No skills outside of what you can put your mind to in the game with the available resources.  And definitely no special "abilities".  We're humans.  We all pretty much have the same ability.

The ability to cut trees down, make wooden planks and logs and build treehouses or base camps. Creates a safe haven from wandering hoards. Adds a group construction element rather than just pitching tents.

Downed military choppers or planes, keeps players busy searching etc

Clan or group logos on clothing and helmets.

Controllable towns, adds turf war scenarios, trading posts etc. Generators that require fuel could be used to provide electricity for lighting.

Welding kits to apply armour to vehicle's, maybe even mount guns etc

Bandit hanging...would be nice to see the path to my basecamp decorated with hanging bandits as a warning.

Erm I think thats all for now lol.

I'm okay with it as long as it is not undestructible and I can easly burn down/demolish every player made base I find.

Oh it defo needs to be destructible....hence why groups are needed. Security on ur turf is essential
