Is it worth to walk far away ?

Recommended Posts

Do I meet a lot of people if I walk to Grishino / Khelm ? What is your experience with people you meet there, do they kill instantly or can you talk with them ?

You're unlikely to come across many (if any) players up there at the moment, mainly because most players at the moment seem to be more interested in running round Balota firing their M4 on full-auto.

However, whilst it would be silly to say that you definitely won't be shot on sight up there, your odds are probably slightly better, as anyone interested enough in the game to actually explore Chernarus rather than deathmatching is probably going to at least ask a few questions before popping you in the head.

I went up North a few times, never met anybody. Not one single person.

The loots are also the same there as they are on the coast.

IMO the only 2 reasons you would have to go there would be to survive longer by not having to deal with bandits and explore the map.

Considering the current state of the game, going North is pretty much the same as playing "Running Through The Woods Simulator 2013" until you die from a bug or break a leg and die from thirst/hunger.

Was not hoping for this answer. I will wait for my north experience until Balota is fixed.

Thanks

I actually go up north and only been to balota once. All the houses up north normally go unlooted. I have no problem gearing up the same as those down south, without the risk. There are 3-4 military loot areas north anyways. Why not?

Edit- if you're dying of thirst/hunger up north something is seriously wrong. Don't listen to last posters. If you don't want a DM experience every other minute of your adventure, go north. Stay north west if you want to hit military complexes and players every now and then.

Balota is more of a high risk-high reward situation, either you'll die a painful death or you'll get fully geared in 10 minutes.

Going up North means having to find food and drinks to survive until you get there, then running for at least 30 minutes, get geared (without the risk of being killed, though, I agree) and then run back to the coast if you're a PvP player (30 mores minutes of running and you'll get killed just as fast as anybody else once you're back south) or stay there alone if you're a friendly player.

Basically unless you don't enjoy PvP you're wasting A LOT of time.

Plus all of the bloodsuckers are in the north...

i remember running the whole map trying to lose that thing untill was able to get him on plain and shoot it.

OP wait nothing, better get you terrain features down cause when the spawn rate is reset you will have less trouble, not counting when Zs working properly in bigger numbers also

I disagree, Balota and the surrounding camp city are 90% of the time complete barren, (atleast on day time servers), but they are still highly populated with a majority of players on a server being there or nearby chernogorsk

GO INLAND, I cannot say that enough, your chances of surviving go up the deeper inland you go

I've loved going up north. Took my time guy my guy whatever clothes I wanted to make him look how I wanted. Found some awesome gear got lock boxes with food and water, hit the air field and other military barracks got my M4 customized how I want massive amounts of ammo. Gave some guy I ran into a hand gun, 2 clips, bag of rice, 2 water bottles, and a first aid kit. Thinking about working my way east to see what changes have been made on my way to the coast. Also if you run out of food and water your pretty awful. Most places have never been touched so grocery stores are stocked, lots of ponds and wells to drink from on your way to finding bottles. Great looking gear to customize your look. I hate the overly military look I'm going for more of a true survivor look.
