Zombies with Character, a Rare Disturbance

 Has anyone ever played res evil 4? Not to say im basing this entire suggestion off of a single game, but that game is what single handedly set the zombie standard in my cerebrum, and is why so many games since then have readily dassapointed me with their lackluster and meaningless zombies. 

 

 That is not to say im upset that DAYZ has these mindless, meaningless zombies, but why not add some really nasty ones. I'm not talking about a L4D boomer, smoker, or anything over zealous in that fashion, but perhaps something a bit scary, like finding some deranged, and unnaturally enlarged walking corpse partially bulked with fungi out in the deep woods. Perhaps a small chance when entering the large coastal city's, you may run across a really fat, loud, slow moving zombie. 

 

 Let me stress further that the buffer of non-essential zombie is to be great, but i think there needs to be some personality here, some surprises that may, in fact, cause players to get scared at what they might find lurking in devils castle, scouring the streets of cherno, or infesting the deep forest surrounding green mountain, ect. A zombie type that really fills the atmosphere and lures some extra "scope time" of nearby players.

Yeah, very good ideas. I hope Rocket and the team have a little list of ideas like this they keep adding to as it comes to them. I tend to forget really good ideas sometimes and it comes back to haunt me occasionally. I'd personally like to see some "30 Days Later" super fast zombie that really make you prefer to use your rifle instead of pulling out the quiet axe.

I have seen some zombie already that will leap attack at you. There is a little bit of difference in them now but a larger variety would be good.

 

I heard that Rocket was talking about making it so they will walk various paths and possible form mobs like the walking dead. That would be cool.

 

I also keep waiting to see a zed wearing one of the payday masks or even a hat.

yeah, no lol I disagree, i like that theres no flashiness having special zombies i dunno doesn't sit right with me may as well be dead island or dying light then, i do agree they need more diversity in looks have army geared zombies etc but nothing to far fetched this isn't last of us with fungal infections!!

I'd like to see more variation, a screaming zed sounds cool, I can just imagine being in a building looting and then hearing it and being like "oh shit that was close".

Rocket did mention something about having military Zeds as well as some of those having some kind of military armour or riot gear in his last stream. Guaranteed we won't see any kind of L4D crap Zeds in DayZ.

I wouldn't mind seeing some variation in the zombies.  No super powers like L4D, but just different looks.  Right now, all of the zombies are just males/females with average body types.  It'd be cool to see some variation there.  Like maybe some zombies would be fat because they were couch potatoes in life, maybe some zombies were body builders before they died so they're really buff, or maybe even a small zombie that was a midget in life (or children, for that matter).  It would definitely be more representative of the population and kind of neat.

Zombie types would be super cool. I am all for a couple of giant tank zombies that are slow but soak up massive amounts of damage and like maybe even zombie dogs that are lightning fast.
