Losing blood...Just like that?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm playing for a while and i noticed that time to time, my screen just loses its colour...I wasn't ''bitten'' sick, hungry or thirsty..But whenever im on adventure with my friends i just start loosing blood...It seems like im addicted to saline..Cus i pretty much require it after 3hrs of gameplay, because my screen is usually lot grayish by then....Could it just be, because we are on the move all the time? My friends usually stop for a drink once in 5 mins..But i keep on going, because i usually eat a bit more at the beggining so my char doesnt beg for water and food every two minutes....Is there a posibility of my characer loosing a blood because he is simply tired?

It should say healthy in your inventory where it says hungry. If not, the you need to eat and drink more, you might be sick or something and not know it. I don't think it always indicates when you're sick.

I heard a few people saying something that energy is a factor, and if you travel for awhile this might affect it. I really can't confirm that but maybe that could be the problem. I know that being thirsty/hungry affects this (obviously) but you said that wasn't the case. Maybe you actually were sick or something.

you dont lose blood for no reason, there is a valid reason as to why you are losing blood but it is certainly not to being tired, have you perhaps been hit by zombies without realising? remember it is quite buggy and they can hit through walls.

I hear that there is a bug that when you wear a certain mask or mouth covering object you slowly get you blood drained like being suffocated... (Not confirmed just things I've heard)

So whenever I'm well fed and all that. It should say healthy? Never had that actually...Same with blood regen..People say that it has to say healing or something? I could just sit anywhere with my stomach being full and it'd just do nothing to me..

However I might just start using desinfecting spray :D

The problem is, i can start out fresh...With no blood loss from zombies/hunger/thirst at all..And the blood just starts dropping..

i wouldn't worry about the 'healing' status (i have a feeling it actually means something else like is sickness related or something not blood regen related) sa i've never had the healing status and i've regened to 'healthy' countless times.

Ah guess it's not that then.. that is weird.

First you have to get your energy up, so eat a shitload of food & soda(or water if you have no soda) until you're stuffed and then let it regain full blood, then it will say 'healing' and then 'healthy' after it's healed all the way.

Also vitamins seem to help this process. Or that could just be me, as I've made it routine to take them lol

Video settings, video settings - Always remember to go into video settings, Click on video, sometimes the video can bug, and you'll have to click "Video" before you get color and such, not sure about the blood loss prob just you lagging or zombies under the ground smacking you ones or twice.

Well thanks for the tips guys...I'll definitely try to eat some vitamins time to time, stop for a second after few hundred of meters and i'll probably start desinfecting all the stuff i pick up.

As far as I know, the disinfectant is only for wounds, not items, but I'm not entirely sure.

Make sure to clean any wounds you may have gotten with alcohol tincture and/or use anitbiotics. Having infected wounds will NOT show up as being sick. Also, after using the alcohol Tincture it will show as you being "sick" for a bit, but you get the message that "Your wounds hurt less." Then you get "Your wounds are healed." and the sickness goes away.

This is probably what is causing your blood loss over long periods of time. Had it happen to me a while ago and was driving me crazy. Finally figured out I had to disinfect my wounds I had received from zeds even if it doesn't say I'm sick. Now, when I get hit by a zed, I just automatically disinfect the wound and am able to maintain a healthy/healing status.

Not true. You can use disinfectant on EVERYTHING. In fact, you can get sick from not disinfecting IV's and other medical supplies.

I find if I eat till it says I am stuff and then continue to eat 2-4 more times after that and also drink till it says I am stuffed and then 2-4 more times after that I will get either the healing or the healthy. When it shows healthy all the colors become much more vibrant. After that eating and drinking on occasion helps you to stay healthy.

If it stops saying healthy eat a couple cans of food tend to bring it back to healthy along with drinking.

If you get hit by a zombie and were bleeding out eating a can of food and drinking some will help you stay at top health, that is after bandaging yourself. I also try to use the alcohol tincture or antibiotics after being wounded.

It really feels like the further you are away from being full on food and water the less the colors show, the same as blood loss.

Yep two of my buddies disinfected each others clothes in the middle of the forest yesterday. They were just messing around with the disinfectant spray.

I have heard but can't confirm that disinfecting rags and bandages with the spray will help keep you from getting infections.
