corruptshadow 4 Posted June 22, 2012 Ok so I was looking at my map and noticed there were map markers on the map. Some said here with an x and others had camps marked on it...I have never seen this before and am concerned because our camp has an x marked on it saying here now. Everyone in my group can see those markers on there map now and none of us has seen it before..Anyone can explain to me what these are how they work and if they are legitly in the game? We also have map markers that points the direction to the marker in-game, as well as the distance.No idea how to switch it off. Double-click the LMB anywhere on the map to place a map marker in that location. This marker is visible to everyone in the selected chat channel (e.g. placing a map marker while in the Side channel ensures only other players on your side will see it). A marker can be deleted by hovering your mouse cursor over it and pressing Delete.It seems the chat channel determines who can see the markers, so if in a group you should use Direct Channel.I always delete them when I see them! AcucracK 0 Posted June 23, 2012 I noticed this as well on one of the servers my friends and I play on and moved our camp due to this. We were playing on another server and noticed something I thought was even worse. It would show you your location on the map and if any other survivors were near your area, they showed up as well.
