Switching weapons/items while running

Sometimes I can switch my weapon/items while running and sometimes my character stops to do it.

 

Is it random or there is a trick to do it?

Seems random to me.  Probably a bug.  

 

Seems to decide to stop at the worst possible times.

Even worse, when we were running with a little squad, our squadleader was glichting to us with his compas wich seemed like an infinite compas switch/grab loop, while we asked him what he was doing he said he was just carrying his rifle after using his compas.

Seems to happen only if you have weapon raised, try pressing space to lower it first.

Tried with raised and lowered while running and stopping seems to be completly random.

You cant do it while turbo running. Has to be the slow run and weapon must be down.
