Effects on view when wearing a mask

I think it would be awesome if wearing a mask (e.g. a gas mask) would have an effect on your viewing. For example if you wear a gas mask or one of these payday masks, you see less or in first person see parts of the mask of the inner side.

I hope you understand what I mean. If you played Minecraft, you know what happens if you put a pumkin on your head.

 

So a mask would safe you more, but also decrease your ability to see everything clear.

Would also be cool with sunglasses, reduces light. There could even be coloured sunglassed :D

 

Problem with this would be the 3rd person view...
