libertine 351 Posted December 27, 2013 I see you don't understand what I wrote. 'Congrats on that.' I enjoy the hunt. I take pride in my kills. If you end up in my scope, I decide if you live or die. Survival of the fittest. That is how nature works. To survive, you have to be cautious about your surroundings. Every life I take, provides this lession.I don't think you understood what you wrote. You said you "must" kill people to survive. In the game one does not need to kill to survive.
DevilDog (DayZ) 455 Posted December 27, 2013 I don't mind people that KOS at all. It is people that KOS from up in the tree line just laying there waiting that suck. For the other KOS types it is just natural, you never know what people will do. I logged tonight after server reset and first stop was the hospital. I went into the very first room on the bottom floor and outside the window was a guy walking up to the building. I see his rifle pop up and head out the door. BANG! Off goes his shot. Game on. I take off running and try to get the drop on him. I duck into a few buildings and finally see him looting on the roof across the street. BANG! Down he goes. Then I fire another shot to make sure he is dead. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes but it was very fun. Two minutes later I am looting the firehouse and as I walk downstairs I guy runs in a starts swinging his axe at me. I run outside and he chases me, I turn and drop him with the .45 Some of the best time I have had in the game. All thanks to some KOSers.
Whistler2k4 8 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) I don't think you understood what you wrote. You said you "must" kill people to survive. In the game one does not need to kill to survive.Last time I checked, I did not write that I had to kill people to survive.I wrote:I do what I must to survive.I hunt. Two different sentences. G-lens 7 Posted December 27, 2013 I get the pure adrenaline rushes from seeing other players.... not zombies. They other players are the true enemy. If not for the killers (Me being one of them) i would only played this game for an hour or so..

1990eam 6 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) The thing is, people that complain about KOS are the ones that play the game because they are looking for that "something special" that DayZ has to offer. PVP is a part I enjoy in the game but when I am KOS'd I feel it just lacks the excitement of interacting with another player. If I have to loose my stuff I want it to happen after being taken hostage, or whatever.DayZ is a game of it`s own, and in the other hand there are tons of games which revolve around killing other players. So it's understandable to see people mad when they jump on DayZ and their experience is ruined by some asshole that thinks he`s playing Counter Strike. Also IMO, want a challenge? Buy BF4 and go hunt a tank with a knife. Killing fresh spawns is for pussys. Edited December 27, 2013 by Kiwis
TimF 79 Posted December 27, 2013 I never attack players unless they start hostilities but I'm glad there's people that do - all of the best moments in this game is when you are in a pvp combat situation!
