Where can I find map pieces? Do they spawn every where or do they have certain loot spawns..I have top notch gear and I'm losing my mind because I dont have a map..please "help a brotha out"

Just something to keep in mind...the maps only show seperate areas of the country. My friend had a map that showed 'E Chernarus' (eastern chernarus) and I found a map that only showed 'SE Chernarus'.

 

I know they spawn in the back of cars, houses and maybe supermarkets.

They're random, just like everything else.

 

There are (planned; not implemented) military and civilian versions of maps, obviously with different things marked (IE civilian = major roads, hospital; military = barracks, airfields, terrain height, backroads, military designations for hills/natural fortifications)

The only place I've consistently found map pieces is in cars. Usually you come across something like, "map of SW Chernarus" or something along those lines.

 

You can also combine pieces together. For example, if you have a piece of a map for south Chernarus  and a piece for north Chernarus, you can drag one of the pieces over the other and combine them into a complete map.

I found a sw chernarus and nothing else. Raided all of cherno charvask zel and vybor..nothin. but there's 2 types of maps? That sounds like a cool addition actually. And I'm not really sure if you're trolling or not, but I know the map very well actually. I would just like to have a map to make life easier. Plus like I said at this point it's just frustrating that I can't complete it.

Yeah, cars have the best chance for maps as far as I can tell (open the front doors and look in the vicinity window of your inv). Also look behind the counters of gas stations (by leaning to the right) and in garages.
